Goddamnit, is there a good (non-fucked up) update for Skidrow FotS rlz?
What I've found seems to be random file versions dropped together with different build executable ... I don't want to get screwed over half way through the campaign.
It crashed during the tutorial mission ... fuuuck ... also it takes so long to load the game, load missions and even load back to the menu that an SSD should be minimum requirement for this game. I don't intend to spend my youth waiting on this game's loading screens while my retarded HDD thrashes hard. Too bad because it runs fine on Ultra.
Now I remember why I shift-del'ed this thing a year ago. Good riddings. I may check out Medieval 2, that was non-gay if I remember correctly(?)

The release is the fall of the samurai expansion, which came after some dlc shit, the game should have been stable by then, why would the players need to wait months for tons of patches to fix their shit? Unless you mean skidrow's crack is at fault.

Funny, I finished the original campaign twice with no problems with this release and in Fall of the Samurai Sir Harry Smith Parkes (daimyo retainer) has a tooltip attached which is next to the last update (http://store.steampowered.com/news/8475/). This is supposedly, the last one (http://store.steampowered.com/news/8593/), which is pretty useless if you're only playing SP.

The executable is old but the game data is up-to-date. I'll trust you in that it's stable and maybe later on I'll download that. (22gb games nowadays, pffff)

Shogun 2 is probably the last good Total War game. I'll exclude the Warhammer ones, as I haven't played them enough to form an opinion (maybe that says my opinion after all )

Forget the graphics, the real question is whether they're ever going to fix the bullshit where the computer players just materialize a full 20 stack army in a single turn out of fucking nothing? Or is that just forever a Total War staple at this point?
