Played for a few more hours and reached the second area, the game gets a bit repetitive at times (As has been mentioned.) although this new location should be fun to explore, I already like it a lot more than the first region though it seems enemy variety won't change too much and it would have been nice with something new but maybe that's for later on near the end-game.
Why must every boss fight be a goddamn clusterfuck? No matter how much effort I put into thinning out resistance, every time I fight one, 90000 uruks spawn to help him, it becomes tedious as fuck.
Mash, mash, mash, more spawn, mash, mash, mash, repeat until Talion finally targets the damn general with the finisher and not the fucker standing far away from him.

Believable and relatable...Yep, sounds like Call of Duty

Normally (Unless immune.) I just wait until the boss is reduced enough in health and then finish with a few arrows to skip the QTE but yeah they do have bodycards (Sometimes including other captains.) making the battle, much like you said, a clusterfuck.

The developers appear to have tried for a more cinematic look when the player is doing the finishing QTE for the boss battles (The warchiefs and those three.) I wonder how it'll look when I reach the other guy and then of course the main villain or whatever he is. (I took quite a few screens of that battle with "The Hammer" but only kept a few as to not spoil the entire fight.)
Talion's eyes glow red a la Sauron's fair form and he says "Time for a new ring". Seeing as how Celebrimbor left for the Hither Shores, it's unlikely he's still possessed in the canon of the game, save for the free roam element that occurs after the story is finished. To me it seems implied someone or something else posses him, since Celebrimbor's glow is blue, as seen in flashbacks and Sauron's glow is red. Oh well, time for DLC, I guess.
Heavy spoilers regarding the ending.

It was actually quite entertaining. I was fighting in a large castle against a war chief and 5-6 captains + a shitload of orcs. Oh, boy, was it intense or what?!
PS Dat tattoo on his face or rather a mark of my hand... Saruman would approve!
I fought a warchief that was invulnerable to everything but combat finishers, and two smaller bosses who acted as bodyguards, managed to kill his bodyguards and got him down to %5 HP, when all of a sudden another boss challenged me mid fight, and once the animation finished playing I was hit by a projectile before I could actually move, the stupid boss was back to full health and 90000 more uruks spawned.
Tedious...simply tedious.
The thing is, the game isn't hard, it simply likes to spam enemies at you alongside boss characters with few weaknesses, that you can beat without breaking a sweat but it takes so fucking long.

What am I supposed to do with my pet war chief and his guardian?
There is an icon on the map where I can summon him and his buttbuddy, then it says "Dominate XXX". I dominate the war chief but I can only get intel on other captains and war chiefs or issue death threats, that's all. After that he disappears and the icon becomes active again.
Is it all I can do with pet war chiefs?
PS I , OK.. Another icon has appeared and I can go there and protect my war chief when he duels someone.
Is the HD texture pack useful with 3GB VRAM? I don't understand whether it's exclusively used by the Ultra setting or not.
No one? Google won't help either
depends on your card, if its some midrage nvidia with added extra ram like 760, or similar 660 560 bs, with 4 gb or more, then i doubt, if its 780 and up, then yes, runs fine with 4 gb on r9 290
I've just encountered a captain who was invulnerable as it seemed to everything.
I couldn't do shit to him and then suddenly I got the idea;) so I found a group of orcs, dominated them and they actually killed him lol
However, it’s glitchy, too. Far too many times I’ve suffered in fights because Talion wouldn’t walk past a stone, or decided he was best friends with a wall. It’s not incessant, at all, but frequent enough to be noticeable, and frustrating. And too many times have I found myself climbing a wall, instead of jumping over an enemy, due to the conflation of the controls.
That I've had happen a few times but it's pretty easy to get out of though it can lead to some difficulties during larger fights.
(And the various complaints about the PC controls I somewhat agree with though I haven't found them to be that difficult nor does it use all that many keys.)

Also, there’s a really disappointing factor: fallen captains seem to come back to life. I’m not sure whether it’s a bug, or whether their boasts of a kerbillion unique enemies were a touch hollow, but it’s bitterly disappointing to see a captain you’d particularly enjoyed finishing suddenly strolling up again. Sure, you come back to life each time, but it does rather shatter the point if they do. Hopefully this is something that’ll be patched out soon.
Edit: It seems that captains only die when their heads are cut off, which is a bit of a disappointing discovery. (And yet another very poorly communicated feature.) However, it seems to lead to good things, checkout the top highlighted comment.
And that's something I just noticed, captains re-appearing (With altered appearance, the guy I had re-appear now had a metal plate over what I assume was a missing piece of his face.) and going on about how you should make sure your opponent is truly dead and so on, sort of the reverse of you returning to fight a captain that previously killed you. (The reviewer does go on a bit about how difficult he found the game to be, also not something I entirely agree with.)
I really do not agree with the hate some people are giving this game. If you like this type of combat it's the best yet. It's better then the Batman:AA style system, and it's way better then AC.
In both the batman games and AC I found the combat to be way to easy. Once you got your reaction times down the games were easy to master. In this game there are so many different enemy types with different attacks that you really have to think about what is going on in your surroundings and change your tactics.
And again, I find the fact that you can get clusterfucked by captains hunting you awesome. I had a battle with two arrow captains, a shield captain, a brawler captain, and some fat chef captain who could sniff me out. I eventually lost the battle, but it was the most insane battle sequence I've experienced in a game like this. I wraith stunned the fat chef captain and he ran away. After I died and he was promoted his skin had changed white because the wraith stun had left him fucked up - But, he also gained immunity to wraith stun.
It's shit like that that makes me love this game so much.
Yes, the game world could be bigger. Yes, there could be a larger variety of open areas. But at the end of the day they really nailed the combat experience (Which is the most important gameplay aspect in a game like this), and the captain system allows for some really cool stuff to happen. Anyone complaining about the game being too hard when this captains bumrush you is missing the point of the game. You're going to die, and if you don't want to be gang raped as much you need to sneak around hunting individual captains. Of course, I enjoy the gang rape and the insane battles so I just prefer to use the 'advance time' option and have every captain slot loaded.
