I'm not usually one for writing articles at midnight, but when I checked out Red Hot Overdrive by AprilSkies I knew my readers would be in for a treat. For those of you who remember games such as Outrun or Lotus on the Amiga, this is one of those games. A third person racing experience that takes us back to the gaming 90's with cool weather effects, great music and the thrill of the speed.

Wasn't sure to put this one in the retro section or here as it's a new game based on a retro title Laughing

Looks OK. Now you made me want to play Top Gear on SNES. Will have to go through my storage over the weekend.

I liked such games back then but I HATED the time limit.. The only point of that "feature" is to generate more coins for the owners of the bar/arcades/etc. Whats the point to put it in now?

Well since it's not circuit or for position racing... you're only left with time as a challenge. Smile

Nope, they are just traffic to avoid. Smile

Just played a bit, wasn't really impressed with it. You're better off getting one of the classics on an emulator.

Yeah, it's much more impressive from a technical point of view (the game was made with AGS!). Gameplay is rather stale and it gets repetitive very quickly.
