DAY ONE PATCH CHANGELOG:
Spoiler: | BACK-TRACKING AND EXPLORATION
There are one or two areas in the game where our QA department has noticed that an unusual combination of events may cause an area previously visited in the station to become inaccessible, or for a player to become trapped. This could only happen if exploring back to the beginning of the game to recover previously inaccessible items as a completionist and should not happen while progressing forward through the main game narrative.
SCRIPTING
There are a few known issues of scripting bugs, producing a small chance that an NPC may not trigger their lines. A result of this is that progress can sometimes be halted.
MOTION TRACKER OBJECTIVE
There is a small chance that the objective marker may point at an incorrect objective location, showing the wrong route.
DIALOGUE
There are a few audio bugs which have been found which cause issues with NPC dialogue not appearing, being incorrect or having the wrong subtitles. Related to NPCs, there are also a couple of instances of broken lip-syncing.
GAME UI ISSUE
We have also found and noted an instance or two where the mini-games (hacking, rewiring, etc.) have incorrect controls displayed or buttons not working as they should. There also a few occasions where on-screen prompts -such as to search objects or open doors – have remained on-screen
AI PATHFINDING
In a couple of places, we have seen the NPCs and Alien losing correct path-finding. This can result in clipping through, or becoming stuck on the geometry within the level. Similarly, during encounters with androids, a struggle may result in the player becoming pushed back into the geometry, with the potential to become stuck.
LOCKERS
There are a couple known issues where the player being killed from a locker can cause the motion tracker to function incorrectly or disappear. |

swedish FZ gave this a 3 out of 5 and this is their + and - feelings.
+
1979-aesthetics to die for
Sound effects and music are used masterfully
Nasty unpredictable xenomorph
Working joes stands for surprising horror
-
Our alien loses fear factor after a while
Several parts of nagging to lead
Are all these weapons really necessary?
The story adds something rarely

Well there are tons of DOF due to the design - when you look at motion tracker rest is blurred and likewise. Forces you to focus on only one thing, tho you can still see something beeping on MT when you look at your surroundings.
Vaseline is also present but for me it gives that 80s-90s feeling of new/old technology. Cant comment much on gameplay itself (fuck ps3 aliasing and frame drops) but they definitely nailed the look and atmosphere of that ship.

No idea, tried survival mode few times and played single player for around 30 minutes, it looked hideous and lagged when I opened the doors, waiting for pc version just like the rest.

@Kurosaki
dat guy! rofl he got kinda lost as in he didn't know what to do and he kept dying at certain places and then going all into fuck-fuckity-fuck-fuck-fuck rage mode
"Fuck fuck, go fuck yourself, I'm dead again! fuck fuck! I need booze! We'll figure this out slowly but surely!"
Hilarious. I can understand now how this game can easily get frustrating considering the save system and how fast you die if you get hit.
Gotta love his comments and Irish accent.
I'm really digging what I've seen so far. Fuck IGN

Everytime I hear 'torrens' I feel the urge to download something
Also the alien is too fast. Remember it took ages for alien to kill somebody in Alien.

Man i wish they'd release this before the weekend -.- fuck early week releases ;o
Never been a fan of the horror genre when it comes to games, but this just looks so good i just want to darken the room, put on the headset & enjoy the atmosphere, it really does look like the alien series finally got a game worth playing.

So I checked out how this guy was doing (he is still playing atm) and oh boy..hahahha...after he had escaped the alien several times hiding in a closet he went forth and suddenly a tracking device started going insane beeping and all, he freaked out, turned around several times trying to determine where the alien was coming from, then decided to get into a ventilation vent. It was dark there so he switched on his flashlight as he was turning left and right behind a corner there was the alien crawling to him out of darkness Needless to say he was fucked
Fantastic.
I'm definitely getting this game

I like the proposition that the game is 90% walking through the empty space station and 10% alien and other threats. It sets just the kind of pacing I'm hoping for in a game like this.
