its just that it has horrible lip-sync. glad they fixed that this time around.

How many games so far in this series?

I've ignored it in the past, but this looks good, so I might start from the first one and work my way up.

The Awakened, SH vs Arsene Lupin and vs Jack the Ripper are good adventure games. The latest one looks like it will be more of a casual/interactive movie thing, kinda like the Telltale games, how it will work out, who knows....

I kinda prefer the interactive movie/la noire type of thing to classic pixel hunters, but can enjoy both.

thx will look into all these games.

My first impact with the game wasn't very good to be honest, since the "cinematic" watered down structure had me worried for a while. Though after solving the first case, I definitely like it. It's still easy and straightforward, and there's a lot of hand-holding, but the 'LA Noire meets Telltale' kind of gameplay works fairly well in my opinion.

At least the cases are dynamic enough to provide some investigative fun (unlike Murdhurrur), plus the moral choice system is..interesting. I'm not a fan of the mini-games with QTEs, but thankfully they can be skipped so it's all good. Cool Face

The game's got some pleasant graphics too, although I have to admit, the facial animations are miles away from being as believable as LA Noire's, which spoiled us. Razz

Yesterday I finished the first case. It was damn easy and pretty obvious. Besides the chemical puzzle which I was failing because the condition list is misleading (why they don't tell you that 2nd blue after the first one DOES NOT reset the status ) everything else was straight forward and as I said obvious. I wasn't surprised that I picked the right conclusion. The game is not bad but its just too easy and straight forward. For now at least. I will see what will happen in the 2nd case Smile

Just started this game and it looks and feels great. It really makes you kinda feel like Sherlock sometimes, good atmosphere.

Seems better than Testament imo.

yeah.....maybe the 1st case might just be a tad easier, just saying. This has happened in games since games began, that's what tipped me off. Rolling Eyes

Well, the 2nd case was not that hard either. After I've got all clues, the conclusion was pretty obvious. I would've been surprised if my pick was wrong.

Reached chapter 3 (Or case 3 since they are pretty much separated from each-other.) it's not bad but the maps are pretty small so the cases end up being pretty short though it's fun although maybe a bit easy. Smile

who enjoys this definitely should check the testament of sherlock holmes. older sherlock holmes are point and click.

Am I alone in thinking that the puzzles in this one aren't that fun? Confused

I'm enjoying the deduction aspect of the game, but the puzzles aren't fun.

Press Spacebar as it tells you. Smile

It will show the clues (IE instead of 16 it'll show 16/16) and the outcome will be either red or green, green meaning you found the "ideal" (right) conclusion.
(From what I can tell you usually also get a longer scene when you take the right conclusion.)

If it's red you can just replay and connect Sherlock's brain (Yeah it's a bit weird.) in a different way to reach another conclusion.
(There's four or so per case I think.)

EDIT: Oh and then there's the moral choice but that's up to you, in the case after you can then interact with the letter pile in your home and read a small epilogue to the chosen outcome.

ive searched the book ending and this is the real ending

on the yt video the guy had 10/16 and when he pressed space it told him it was the right choice even if it wasnt the real killer, and the synaps were green too, so i`m a little confused here

That's strange, as far as I know the chosen conclusion should always highlight in red if it's incorrect and green if it's correct when pressing spacebar to check before deciding if you want to replay the ending or continue, maybe a bug with the game then?

I believe the green/red thing is kinda bugged. On the first case when I solved it and I checked if I got it right it was green. Yesterday when I was checking the Cases screen, it was red - wtf Laughing

Watson is still creepy. In the previous game he would always catch up to you no matter what, in this one he's inside buildings before I enter them, greeting me with a stare from his dead, doll like eyes when I enter the room.

i'm currently at case 5 and as far as i can remember i prefer the testament of sherlock holmes more. this has less puzzles and its focused more on deductions but in order for them to work properly they should have use motion captures for the actors like in l.a. noire

I just finished the game and enjoyed it from start to finish. I have the feeling we can expect more cases via dlc.
Some things were underutilized (disguises and imagination for example). I felt the game should have been longer for all the different mechanisms to work and feel more complete.
I enjoyed it as much as The Testament, but the main narrative was lacking, including the final moral choice.

Great game so far! Just solved the first case...I think?

But...does anyone else find some of the mini-games complete bullshit? It may be due to me using a controller, but I couldn't for the life of me figure out the ship figurine mini-game at the beginning. I couldn't drag anything anywhere. And then the ink reagent mini-game left me dumbfounded. They explain it so weirdly, I had to skip it unfortunately after the 20th time of combining chemicals...sigh. Had no problems with the other mini-games though.

Those puzzle-like mini-games are actually my favourite, the QTE ones on the other hand..

Kudos to the benevolent devs for providing a skip button in the first place. Very Happy Laughing

That's what I'm feeling as well, I'm not done yet and I like the game, but I liked Testament more. I'm not a big fan of the "cinematic-ness"approach at all costs .

I screwed the pooch so hard on the first case it's not even funny. I don't know what the fuck I was thinking, but oddly enough it seemed to make perfect sense at the time!

Damn that fucking deduction system for heightening my paranoia and thereby choosing the most complex outcome imaginable.
