Look who reviewed it. Laughing

Believable and relatable...Yep, sounds like Call of Duty

For those wondering about benchmark txt file... yeah, there is one available. I'm copypasting from the official forum:

Go to your steam library and right click Alien Isolation.
* Click "Properties"
* Click "Set Launch Options"
* Type into the field "-benchmark" ( without the quotations so it reads -benchmark )
* Click OK and launch the game.

I suppose this will also work offline with the -benchmark command added in the shortcut. I'll try tomorrow Smile

Nice, great piece of info Very Happy

Do you know if there's a launch option for disabling the intro clips?

Don't know about a launch parameter but to disable the obnoxious intros you can just delete:

AMD_IDENT.USM
CA_IDENT.USM
FOX_IDENT.USM

in ..\Alien Isolation\DATA\UI\MOVIES

The intros besides the obviously thrown in AMD one are awesome. The Creative Assembly one matches the graphic design from the Quadrilogy boxset perfectly.

I wouldn't mind these intros soo much but I certainly don't want to see them every time I launch the game. Neutral Just never made much sense to me.

good old AvsP 2 had option to disable intro's in config menu
i hate seeing same shit every time i start something, same goes for tv series, i always skip intro's and previously crap

first thing i do after starting any game for the first time is alt+f4 and find and disable those pesky intro's

AMD keys finally in, I activate it, and lo and behold: it's the PREORDER, with the TF2 items and Crew Expendable and Last Survivor DLC.

Only just starting playing. The first game in a long time where i have been quite impressed with the visuals. Some sexy looking textures sure is a refreshing change from the usual garbage.

Looks gorgeous when running at 5k.

Walking simulators can be quite long, especially if you sneak half the time. Cool Face

20 hours for a game like this is pretty damn long.

Further, I fully expect to have to play longer then 20 hours because I'm playing on hard mode the first time through.

That first area where you have to sneak past the people with guns, and then sneak past the first alien encounter took me numerous attempts. Took me at least 30-40 minutes to make it through that section.

The game is insanely difficult on hard, but I love it.

Everything about this game is top notch. The audio here just as in the movie is far above and beyond. The graphics are above average, although I think they could have been even better if the game was developed solely for the PC. Regardless, it runs well and looks good.

It's basically the perfect Alien game. It took almost 40 fucking years, but we finally have it.

I'll say that AvP 2 is still my favorite of all time, but that wasn't a straight-up Alien based game, and more of a mix-match of Alien(s)/Predator. It didn't follow Alien as much as this game does.

Whomever they had do the artwork/graphic design for this game needs serious accolades. It follows the movie exactly. Every fine detail is there.

Easy GOTY for me, and also quite easily one of my favorite games in a very long time. As a die-hard Alien fan this game is fucking incredible.

The terror a player feels in this game when running away from the Alien is just.. perfect. Running for your life with the score from the film heightening the tension, and you know that fucker is right behind you.. Bam, tail through the chest. A brilliant gaming experience.

anyone tried GedoSato on it`?

GeDoSaTo doesn't support the game (yet?).

Try forcing AA through the drivers. For nVidia works fine. Game looks now fantastic with 4xMSAA.
