damn.. I hate the last part of the game.. there are so many signals on my tracking device and the moment you kill a facehugger the big daddy comes down searching for you. so few places to hide doesn't help either

VGAdeadcafe insulted me with no special reason. I'm not in a mood to throw insults back so I'll drop the subject.

Well, about 8 hours I got idling in the background I guess but what is left is still impressive even by the old "standards" And I'm not finished yet! Oh, and I was hiding in lockers all the time

Couldn't even stand out ISodemo, shitty aliasing kills all the fun.

Damn, played this game earlier today, now it crashes on startup (ai.exe stopped responding). Any suggestions ? This is on the legit release btw.
Also, is there a way to add the DLC to the legit version ?

So..anyone tried it with Oculus Rift yet?
Edit: Really smooth running game and splendid graphics. I like it so far.
Edit2: Just cant decide if its worth connecting my DK1 and alter the inifile or if I should stick to using monitor.

any launch commands to force the game fullscreen?
Every time I start the game it goes to windowed mod until i set it to full screen in options.
All other settings are saved.

Don't know any commands, but try using ALT + Enter to switch to fullscreen instead of using the menu.

doesn't work, that was the first thing I tried.
It simply defaults to 1920x1080 windowed, which isn't even a resolution on my monitor.
So every time I start the game, I have to go to the options and set it to fullscreen, which then automatically picks 2520x1575, the downsampled resolution I created in nvidia cpanel for any game that I can run fast enough.

Just finished it on hard. Goddamn it what a ride! It was amazing and the pacing was just great! Ending could be a bit meh, but that doesn't change the fact that I've been trough a hell lot just to get there. A last moment doesn't make an ending bad, it's the combination of events that builds it up. And that build up was FANTASTIC. I haven't played a game liked this for years. The story just takes you away and you can't look back. Now this game is an excelent achievement of survival horror and implementation of story to this genre.
I guess the last game that made me feel like the character I am playing was HL2(In a story driven linear FPS, I mean).
Go play it. This game rocks. Only flaw I can tell you is the animaton and AI of humans. Other than that it's almost perfect.
Imma go buy the most expensive boxed edition of this when I get some cash.

Is there a way to discern which androids are hostile? I've been taking care to avoid all of them only to often find out they don't even care about me being there.

There are some places that they are not hostile. Meaning that If you go inside a restricted area the androids become hostile.
