I keep getting this stupid cryinput.dll error when launching RYSE, does anyone know what could solve this? I already tried te obvious like dx reinstall, xinput shenanigans etc etc.

Ok i actually finished this piece of crap... I can honestly say if you play for 30 minutes you get everything the combat system offers. You only unlock more health and more focus...Actually i'm really surprised about the combat system, i would have though they'd at least put a few moves there, but nope. 4 attacks and that's it. It gets boring insanely fast.
Story is total drivel, just beyond bad with no goddamn point whatsoever.
I'm kinda having a hard time understanding why this game was even made...

The game seems quite optimized to me, at least it doesn't run any worse than on XBONE, I can play it at more than 30 fps (not 60 constantly though) fully maxed in some shitty resolution (I don't have 1080p, so I choose the rez under it, I don't remember it) because the game clearly runs at 20fps in 1440p.
But since the game offers temporal AA, lower resolutions appear quite fine... I'm surprised.

Seems like found first game with free camera i actually enjoy playing more on gamepad than K+M.

Game is ok so far, pretty much what i exoected: super casual slash em up.
Funny thing is, the combat is still better than Shadow of mordor. Enemies actually defend themselves here.

Downloaded it before i read anything about it then had a massive hangover yesterday and i kinda liked the simplicity of it....at the start.... Why i kept going i don't really know....

Played for about 2 hours, it's easy to review this game:
Kill barbarians, press right mouse button to "defend", left mouse button to attack
Press E to execute (And then you can press any button and you will execute the dude)
Keep on killing
Throw some spears
Kill a little more
dramatic scene
kill, kill, kill

Finished the game in an afternoon.
It's quite a pointless game, but the fact that it's so short saved it from uninstallation (barely), if it was longer I wouldn't have bothered finishing it.
The combat system is ludicrous. Why so few available moves? Why do I still succeed at executions even if I fail all the prompts? Why do I still get the reward even if I fail? Why do you keep your XP if you die and reload a checkpoint? Why auto-aim everywhere? And most of all: if you base your combat system around QTEs, why the fuck is it limited to two fucking buttons?
This game is just too paper-thin when it comes to gameplay. No exploration, no decision making, meaningless upgrades, guided combat. The only redeeming factor are the visuals, but that's not enough to make a game.

Are you sure? It was exactly the same with the latest Crysis yet people still thought it was enough. Pretty graphics horrible gameplay. Maybe because it was a shooter and people cant tell the difference between a good one and a bad one. Each game they made since FarCry1 was worst then the previous one in terms of depth and complexity and with their last 3 games (including the joke that is Warface) they reached the bottom.. pretty sure they dont know how to make a good game anymore.

somehow i enjoyed more solo gladiator mode than the actual story , but who knows was haldasleep anyway
