I don't mind this not being very different from the previous ones, but I did not finish everything in BL2 and I'm tired of how incomplete their games are at release, so I won't play it on release and instead I'll wait for them to finish with it.

Is anyone else having problems with the game not finding previous borderlands game saves?
Using the RLD release
borderlands 2 was skidrow release.
borderlands 2 save data is in Documents\my games\borderlands 2\willowgame\savedata\somerandomnumber\
I dont have any borderlands 1 savedata, deleted loooong ago.

Ok, so yarr and all, I got the game and played a bit. As expected, it's still the same Borderlands core wrapped with just a couple minor quirks. The low gravity areas are going to introduce a LOT of chaos during fights. But all in all, if you liked the previous games, you'll like this one as well. If you haven't, then this one won't change your mind.
Unless (like me) you play these games just to hear Claptrap yapping on an on, then this one is for you!  Despite some attempts to change my mind I picked the little retard as my character and... Ohh boy, this is going to be fun  And all those wacky skills! I have no idea which ones to pick 
It's a shame though, that the engine is getting pretty old and even the comic book style is losing its charm. And as in previous games, the FOV gets way too narrow for my liking when aiming down the sights (even with the FOV set to 100). Aaaand the whole skill system is (as always in Borderlands) made up of just one "usable" skill and a bunch of modifiers... I guess there isn't enough buttons on gamepads for the console peasants to use more skills.

Yup, the path is ok and my saves were detected without a problem (I didn't even remember I still have them), but they were made by some other release of the GotY edition with some/all DLCs and patches. So maybe The Pre-Sequel looks only for savegames made by a patched game.
