Very Happy

Searching for "girl" or "gone" didn't yield anything.

I've heard great things about book, I guess it's time to finally give it a read before the movie comes out.

They thought she went missing.
She just decided to leave the life behind.
Ignored everyone looking for her. sees the press and everything.
hires a guy to 'kidnap' her.
things escalate.
steamy sex scene.
she gets beat up cause she 'asked' for it.
she's locked in a cage.
the guy who 'kidnapped' her calls the press and is like i know where she is.
when he hangs up, he gets shot by a gang banger.
the search continues.
finds the girl dying.
ben affleck looks at her and says... next time when i want anal i'll get anal!
and we see a flashback of the girl saying no to bum sex and going to sleep.
ben affleck gets the inception machine.
music starts playing.
girl wakes up and decides to leave him whilst believing it was her plan all along.
skip to the motel scene where she hires the guy to 'kidnap' her.
ben affleck is right next to him.
flash forward to the gangbanging shoot shoot.
ben affleck was driving the car.

book ends with four pages from the journal of the guy who was hired to 'kidnap' her explaining the whole thing and then a final snippet from a new article saying ben affleck was arrested.

not really worth a read. Neutral i'll wait for the movie.

That was crazy, but I do agree with the comments that it kinda fizzles in/near the end.

Still, I'd say a solid 8 or 8.5/10.

Wow, this was the darkest Fincher movie since Se7en.

Such creepy characters and disturbing story. Oh! And the music was glorious and half of what made it great.

8.5/10

A lot different than the book Waldo described (he drifts into his mind halfway through so can't rely on that, but still a bit spoilerish Embarassed )

Didn't finish/10: Saw 1½ hour of the movie, before i quit. I was expecting a thriller with some twists, but everything was fairly obvious, and i suspect the rest of the movie will continue along the same lines.

Well it was obvious to me. Of course something in the last part of the movie could surprise me, but as mentioned, i doubt it.

What really pissed me off was

Youre right, more I think about it after few days the lower the score is, plot is literally full of holes and makes no sense at many moments.
