I'm keeping my expectations low for the quality of the port. It wouldn't surprise me if the game was locked at 30 FPS and there was a lack of proper mouse controls. Razz

there should be a law that falcom takes over all porting of japanese games, that way there will be nothing to complain about and based durante can take a few days off. Very Happy

I hope it is 60fps but even at 30fps it's not unplayable.
Proper mouse implementation will be a challenge though. I recommend using a gamepad for this one.

From Steam: Full controller support and all screenshots have X360 controller buttons.

Well to be fair Falcom actually makes PC games. All of Falcom's games released on Steam so far were native PC games and not ports.

It has insanely low system requirements, so that's a good start already. No outrageously inflated silliness Very Happy

I'm assuming the screenshots on the store page are actual PC screenshots since I noticed the 360 controller icons.

Release Date: 11 Nov 2014 Awesome

Don't even care if it's 720p at rls anymore, sure hope it's not but Durante is a big fan so it will be fixed within a day anyway.

Well it's not as if you couldn't play both with PPSSPP allrdy anyway.

Well spotted, eagle-eye! Very Happy And those are 1080 too ... so there's that. 60fps would be glorious but egh, 30fps is more realistic.

And they look awesome when ran at 3/4x intres too Smile Controls are terrible though, due to the lack of second analogue stick on the PSP. TRI/X is up/down and L/R triggers are left/right camera.

I'm not so sure about the 1080p resolution in the screenshots. It looks blurry, possible upscaling from 720p? Neutral

Edit: The blurriness might be caused by the filter they applied, as the UI elements seem much clearer in comparison.

You know you can just map that to your right stick in PPSSPP if you want right?

"Sega is refashioning itself as a PC game maker"

Note to all lazy developers with their locked resolution/framerate/gamepad shite: SEGA just showed you how it's done. Bit late, but if they just do proper PC versions of their games like this from here on out, I'll forgive them.

@Vryder

That would be the watercolour filter Smile

@tet666

Mapping right analogue stick to four individual buttons is as clunky as using the buttons, haha.

@Vryder

1080p60, mouse/remappable... oh hell yeah!! Very Happy

Have it on PS3, good game but the combat is fucking terrible. Not the fighting itself that is good, but the fact that you are limited to like 20 turns and that if you don't finish a mission in like 7-8 turns max you get the shittiest amount of points is what made me drop it after like 3-4 hours. And if you hit 20 turns the mission ends anyway. So once I was playing this hard mission going slow and just as I was preparing to finish I reached turn 20 and I failed Stupid stupid design choice.

I would not call this a J strategic RPG, I find it rather unique. For me it's my favourite PS3 game, so I would say yes it's very much interesting. Then again I don't know your taste in videogames.

I think it has more a niche than a popular following. At least every time I talk about it, I seem to find most people not knowing about it... then again what most people play isn't what I'm interested either.

i'd forgotten about the move cap. Yeah it does kind of stifle creative play, narrowing potential solutions.
