Still own the PS3 version, but I pre-ordered with my leftover GMG credit anyway. Looking forward to some 1080p/60fps action on this fantastic game. Also never got to play the DLC, so that might be cool.
fucking KURWA MA¢ guess what i bought yesterday day for PS3
i actually thought about buying a new PS3 (since my old one died ) and the game again last month, well i still might do it if there is no Pc version of Persona 5 but since Sega owns Atlus now chances are good we might see that on Pc now too.

Wait. Wut? Since when did Sega own Atlus? OMFG THIS IS AWESOME. Sega could make a killing just porting their games properly to PC.

"From 2010 to 2013, Atlus was a brand of Index Corporation. On September 18, 2013, it was reported that Sega Sammy Holdings won a bid to acquire the bankrupt Index for ¥14 billion. All Index operations, including the Atlus brand and Index Digital Media (Atlus USA), transferred to Sega Dream Corporation (a new subsidiary of Sega Corporation) on November 1, 2013. That day, Sega announced that it would rename Sega Dream Corporation Index Corporation. On February 18, 2014, Sega announced the separation of Index Corporation's contents and solution businesses into a new subsidiary, Index Corporation (株式会社インデックス), renaming the old Index Corporation and its remaining digital game business division Atlus (株式会社アトラス) effective April 1, 2014. The new Atlus would include the foreign subsidiary (Index Digital Media), which would be renamed Atlus U.S.A. at the establishment of the new Atlus."

And pre-ordered. Greenman sent me a nice 23% discount voucher over the 10% discount that is now for pre-ordered. So, i caved in and made my first ever pre-order.
I don't think there is a resolution cap, or at least I haven't found it. At ridiculous resolutions it starts being unstable and crashing though, but that's the case for any 32 bit game.
Aside from the fact that they seem to be doing a good job at the PC version, I fucking love how they enlisted Durante.
Please, console developers everywhere, take note. Get all these great people that do fixes/hacks/injectors to test drive your shit before you release it.
Durante spoke of reading his article to find out the framerate/performance etc on NeoSHAT, does anyone know what he's referring to? Something in a gaming mag or on his blog?
IncGamers' port impressions article All seems good though cutscenes are 720p videos like the original game. Shame about that (and others, like FFXIII) but I guess that's a small price to pay.
Quote:
The cast are quirky, but likeable, and I’m already gravitating towards a few favourites to take on missions. There aren’t too many tactical, turn-based titles who will give their soldiers “Lonely” or “Metal Allergy” as a meaningful characteristic, either.
And meaningful they are too. Soldiers with "Lonely" aspect receive hits to their evasion and visibility stats if they're left alone or away from comrades on the battlefield, those with "Metal Allergy" receive negative status effects in close proximity to tanks and other metal - in the form of a constant HP drop The full list is here;
Aichmophobic - Deathly afraid of pointed objects, being around Lancers'
weapons makes them hyperventilate, steadily losing HP.
Bug in a Rug - Cozy places like trenches seem calming, and give a boost in
attack power.
Into Macho Men - Seeing the buff bods of anti-tank Lancer units nearby is
enough to get their engine firing, raising evasion.
Man Hater - Having men nearby triggers a constitutional loathing so powerful
it lowers accuracy.
Misogynist - Having women nearby triggers constitutional loathing so powerful
it lowers accuracy.
Sadist - Inflicting pain on others fills them with a sublime sense of
pleasure, upping anti-personnel attack power.
Tank Lover - Standing near tanks makes them happy, driving up their attack
abilities.
Veggie-Maniac - Any time his feet touch the bountiful earth, his love of
veggies drives his parameters up.
Love it This also leads into one annoyance to the game.. the "Potentials" system, where your characters have several "Potential" skills that unlock based on how you play and what other team members they're with. These can be beneficial.. or incredibly negative.. and you can't remove one when it's unlocked, so it's a hell of a gamble. Like Aika, who is a fucking epic Scout but can develop the "Potential" for Pollen Allergy, crippling her in grass/flower areas.
i actually like that system, while it can be an annoyance, it introduces a rogue-like kind of permanent element, making you use the characters in a different way and approaching different tactics on every playthrough.
