Matchmaking is still broken for me. Takes ages to find players and then when you finally do, it just says connection timed out after you load.

yeah very choppy for me, and to be honest, not that impressed by it. it really feels like the kind of game that really makes sense if you have 5 friends you play with regularly, but for pub games... ehh...
its just running around for most of the time following glowing blue footprints until you have a crazy couple of shots at the beast before it escapes and you do it all over again... and the team never seems to stick together... meh

Wow, I just lost a match with the worst players I've ever seen.
Instead of chasing after the monster with me, all they did was kill the various indigenous life forms allowing the monster to hit level 3.
And they were all above level 1, so they played a few matches.
Definitely a game for a group of friends.

You only need a good group for LVL3 monster. With newbs - just pick up the trapper, hunt the fresh monster, trap and they will do the job.
