I think all Ubisoft games had some problems in the UK, W_D also was not available for purchase until the very last moment.

Indeed, I would say it sounds plausible. See how much hate EA pricing gets... people get fed up with it and I'm willing to bet Valve is going: You sell more at a lower price (which is in their favour as well).
And yes Valve surely doesn't do it for the goodwill alone... they just seem to be one of the few that realizes: less is more.

Sounds somewhat plausable, this is a lot of difference compared to the default pricing, Valve doesn't really like publishers from deviating too much from their recommended pricing. That said, I wouldn't be surpriced this was more about the cut Valve takes for sales made.
PC: Yes. Console: No.

That's because Valve doesn't agree selling the games at £49.99(80$) + £15(24$) DLC, when normally AAA titles cost £39.99(64$).
In uplay they can sell at £49.99. |
sorry but fucking WHAT?!
WHAT?!
is this the same valve that has, as im repeatedly told, zero control over pricing of other publishers games on its store? the same fucking valve that actively ENCOURAGES regional price gouging and has never EVER taken a stand against it or that shitty US=UK conversion shit? and now these same twats are suggesting valve has a pricing conscience? fucking WHAT.
fuck off.

Speaking about what's plausible:

^ Now that we established there's a history with Ubisoft UK and Valve:
- either Ubisoft UK has always been trying to sell their games for 50 pounds, for as long as back in 2010 and always negotiates with Valve until the very last minute and up until now Valve always "won the argument" but this time Ubisoft said "enough is enough, I'm not going to lower my prices for you, I'm leaving your store!"
or
- it's a completely different matter
Now tell me what's more "plausible"
TWIN PEAKS is "something of a miracle."
"...like nothing else on television."
"a phenomenon."
"A tangled tale of sex, violence, power, junk food..."
"Like Nothing On Earth"

@chiv
Calm down here big boy. Valve always had the control over the price, but in 99% cases it is up to publisher of course. I know that every changes go through Valve's approval and they have a suggested values for each price in each region and often VERY pressing on the matter to keep within the range but do allow deviating from the range. After all they do themselves, like with CSGO.
In the past Ubisoft had no issues setting up their price they want, like, Child of Light was more expensive in RU then in US.

Got word that the Chrome browser downloads thge .scr file automatically. So BEWARE if using Chrome. Firefox does ask if you want to download it.
Chrome needs to have this option enabled: settings -> advanced settings -> ask to save each file before downloading
If oyu have it disabled in Firefox, enable it asap as a precaution.

Ah well, won't buy their games for sure then. I hardly play anything I have on there, usually because I just forget that atrocious client all together
