I jest I jest. Well half-jest. The way some of you talk about women and relationships. Bitches this, bitches that. It's not that surprising that you only find insecure girls... And the lack of communication. It's a problem. A massive one. Don't expect the games to end until both partners can actually open up and be honest. It's takes vulnerability to be open. It takes strength to be vulnerable. Girls like that btw. Not that fake idea of strength and masculinity that the media regurgitates.. But then I'm still not sure fm isnt a troll. After all this time he is still an enigma. so fuck bitches, remain tired!

This deserves a non-spoilered quote.

After being single for four years, working as a bartender during weekends and knowing quite well how the game is played with easy flings, I bagged myself a nice girlfriend with straight forward honesty, and keeping at it without being annoying or desperate.

The good ones don't come easy after college-age, most have been hurt a couple of times and are very careful.

i think the "easiness" comes from knowing that gay people have already given up on fictional constructs of what "real" relationship and sexuality have to be
it's a shortcut over a lot of back and forth and potential misunderstandings of where the limits of those concepts are
naturally this does not directly increase chances of success, but it's a group that's preselected to be (somewhat) more open to honest direct discussion
but extreme personalities would also be more common

Laughing They haven't given up on 'real' relationships Laughing We gays can be monogamous too Wink

Oh, that's not what I meant at all.
Just on what the definition of a "real" relationship is.
I mean..
Most people take the interaction norms of life and relationships from their surroundings.
How people they know, friends, family behave and how popular culture displays it.
For many people soap operas are a model on how to behave, what to expect and How Things Should be.
There is a very real Correct Way To Live.
Get a stable job.
Get a wife.
Have kids and a dog.
All the standard shit we all know because it's expected of everyone in the fictional status we collectively perceive as "optimal".
The twisted behavioral patterns coded in the mythology of love are so based on fear and distrust that they implicitly require mind games to get around them.
It's a cultural construct of courtship that becomes broken when the participants do not fit the predefined roles.
I'm sure you've heard someone ask "so which one is the girl in this relationship?".
People like to tick boxes and fit in them.
It's depressing seeing many people I care about get stuck in situations and executing behavior patterns just because it's expected of them, and then live miserable lives thinking they didn't have a choice.
Just having to rethink parts of something that fundamental leaves the door open for future changes.

Or that's my view at least.
I'm bi with very limited experience of male partners so far, but in my self exploration and reparsing of cultural dogma this is where I have arrived.

Writing all that out made me go back to one of my favourite tunes. (spoilered to not clutter the thread)

I agree with you on that one in full Smile

I think it's the sense of false security that you have by just 'ticking boxes', it's the same thing when I started going to high school. At first it was scary, but the routine of it made it safe somehow. You know what you're doing, know what to expect. But you can easily get stuck in it.

I like to think that things will change. We evolve, and our mindsets will evolve too Smile

And yaaay for having a bibro around Very Happy \o/
