Ooh they are actually airing it this Friday (Interstellar) at the local Bio. Bit surprised, thought we'd get it later like usual.

Think we gonna book a time for Sunday... think, because we've both got a cold atm that is slightly getting worse... boo! I want my space dammit!

Guys need cinema movie recommendation, all of those sounds good lol:

- Fury
- Insterstellar
- Gone girl

Since none of them seems to be a shitty movie Im thinking of choosing one with best effects just to justify seeing it on big screen - Insterstellar - Fury and gone girl have with a little bit of drama so maybe its better to watch it calmly on tv? But again - insterstellar only pg13, from your description Fury also seem to have nice fx and sound design. Hard chooice Very Happy

I've seen Gone Girl and Fury, Fury has great sound effects and fights. Gone Girl is a thriller with no explosions or special effects worthy of the cinema ticket.

Going for Interstellar this weekend to see it in 4K and with Atmos <3

Yeah probably goona go with Interstellar also, unfortunately no 4k Mad Very Happy Sad

Was there a pirate release for John Wick or are all these scores from people who have been to the cinemas?

Cinema, if you rate a movie from seeing a cam, you forfeit your life.

Interstellar later today!

Coherence - 6/10

An interesting low-budget-y concept, some good acting too, but after a while the element of surprise started to vanish and everything became stale despite the Jedi mind tricks.

---------------------

The Babadook - 5,5/10

I liked the idea behind it and the metaphoric message (deeper than our usual teen boo-based flicks), the execution on the other hand felt seriously clichè-ish and silly at times. It's probably just me though, I'm hard to please when it comes to horror movies in general. Razz

that new monkey movie

7/10

quite enjoyed it, and some of the cgi was phenomenal, especially that very last shot.

that said, i still have to wonder how the humans actually lose this war... perhaps they're going for a final film in the trilogy where they decide to coexist (although the coexistance will fail eventually) because the monkeys... i mean up against some civilians with guns, the monkeys had huge losses, and now
 Spoiler:

i just don't get the feeling the monkeys have a big enough force or enough intelligence to defeat the humans AS THINGS WERE PORTRAYED IN THIS MOVIE, so it'll be interesting to see how this plays out in the finale... its just the feeling i get from seeing how this film went, what with the size of the respective forces and how each party was portrayed was nothing like i was expecting.

and yes, i know they're apes Very Happy and damned dirty ones at that.

Good movie, a bit too much drama, and accurate physics, up to the point where

Dawn of the planet of the apes 6/10

Felt weaker than the first one. Pacing and acting were off for me. Half of the time I was bored, felt really like the movie got dumbed down to cater for everyone.

And stuff was just to transparent or badly done f.e. the bear attack... My mind went right ahead thinking: ofcourse they need to make him more recognizable *sigh

Not that the first one was a stellar movie, but it entertained me a lot more.

Had a laugh with an IMDB post tho, saying something like: evolution is a hot topic. I laughed and thought: yup always when you bring Americans to that topic. Silly people

Dracula Untold

~7/10

I liked the film although I think it was rushed (I heard they cut out lots of material),it should have been darker, preferably NC-17 rated , the story should have been more complex and Dominic was a miscast.

It's pretty good for what it is: a flawed Hollywood take on the man and the legend, a cheesy blockbuster but still enjoyable.

It's not on the same level as Coppola's Dracula or Interview With The Vampire,of course, but it is way better than 90% vampire crap films that were released since then.

Interstellar - 9/10

Spectacular, thrilling and peppered with humour (mostly TARS), this was easily one of the best films of the year. It is let down slightly by some clunky dialogue and an overly contrived final act, but the flaws were barely anything compared to its achievements. I loved that Nolan told Zimmer to knock it off with the ostinatos Very Happy He really delivered this time and made up for that godawful shite that he composed for Spoderman.

Having now read the summary of the original script, I'm glad they changed it. That monstrosity would have been unfilmable.
