Wow this doesn't even have tesselation currently? That's a major bummer, the flat roof textures really stand out in this one for some reason, probably the much improved lighting. But then again, the game will probably run (even more) like shit with it enabled.
Game runs better than Black Flag.. On 970, fps is between 35-55. It drops below 30 sometimes.
Ultra high, TXAA, high shadows, HBAO+, 2xMSAA.
The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.
Played it for a bit, ran like a shite with a constant drops in cutscenes and stuttering in freeroam, but I'll reserve my judgment for when I'll play original copy + patch + newest drivers later today.
That parkour is awesome though, especially controlled descend
Game is currently downloading at home and i'm at work right now. Gonna be ready when i arrive tonight. I wanna know , is it multilanguage ? Because if so i'm probably gonna play with with french voice overs for immersion purposes. French is my native language and with the game being set in Paris and all it's probably gonna add a bit of realism to the whole thing

This must be the ugliest AAA game I've seen in a while.
I'm not saying technically that it is not advanced, but the screenshots I've seen all either look very "plain", blurred and with blurry textures, aliased, oversharpened, with weird colors, or with like minimal shading(?) so everything looks like it's 100% lit by the sun. Or all of the above together.
I just don't like at all how it looks. Very weird.

Does the game has crazy tearing like Black Flag with V-Sync off ? Also does it have triple buffering ? Gonna suck if we have to force it yet again with an external app so that it doesn't lock at 30 FPS with V-Sync ON if it can't sustain 60 FPS

It looks good when you're on the roofs. It's like the flight sims. The higher from ground the better. AC9: NYC and AC10: Dubai will have top notch graphics (Skyscraper parkour).
Well the language files did not work. You cannot select anything other than French or Russian in the menu. I even tried to replace the french sound files with the english ones but that led to no voiceovers at all. I hope steam adds the option to dl the rest of the languages after the release date. I am not playing with the stupid russian voices.
There were no mentions of the restrictions when i bought the game on steam

what an awkward method. just disable shitty ingame vsync, then force vsync from drivers control panel along with triple buffering.
