Generally most people (also male) that are not assholes are feminists, because they believe that the gender should not play a role (and especially none that would restrict their rights and liberties) in any aspect of their lifes. Sadly some man and woman call themselves feminists, but they are actually sexists, who don't want gender equality. And some of them aren't even aware...

well imo feminist doesnt automatically imply non-sexist,
it just means that you are against inequality towards women, you could still
be biased against men though.
only a few communist states ever had true gender equality.
in china both men and women are expected to work equally and also respected equally.
when it comes to this, the west is pretty far behind in comparison.
I completely agree. As far as I'm, and the textbook definition is, concerned.. feminism is the desire and push equal rights and opportunities for women. That is a goal everyone should be pushing as basis of being a half-decent human being. What people like Christina Sommers fight against, is the radicalised hatred-based third wave "social" feminism.
