Biggest problem with this game is the insane amount of NPC`s everywhere, the map is just completely over saturated with em. I understand in some situations its needed like the protest/riot sections of the city but just running down any street your constantly bumping into them Rolling Eyes

Its the main reason why the game runs like shite.

To be fair, when walking to work each morning, I meet as many NPCs on the real world pavements, possibly even more, so I would not hold that point against Ubisoft.

Wait till you are in Paris...

Obviously the epilogue isn't that much of a performance hog.

Even on XBONE/PS4, that's where the FPS loss are : running in Paris.

PS : I have news for you : you will get 500 fps looking at the sky fully maxed in 4K Laughing

Ok ..Got to try this for 30 minutes or so..Here is my feedback

Running game version 1.1 ..Latest Nvidia drivers

Settings were the following :

1080P
16:9 120 htz
Full Screen
Vsync OFF

Everything possible on max except the following :

AA --- FXAA --- Anything above is an fps killer for now.
Shadows --- High --- Tried Soft Shadows and honestly does not look that better and loose about 7-8 fps
Ambient Occlusion --- HBAO+
Bloom OFF --- Don't usually use that options in most games.

Everything else like mentioned above is to it's fullest settings.

Now, I played until you get to play the kid in that long hall in Versailles

Lowest fps for a brief second is 38 both on cut scenes and gameplay.
Average cut scene around 48-55

Average game play is 60-70 fps

Highest game play was for a brief moment at 75 fps.

That's without patch 1.2 which should improve hopefully.

I think it's pretty good considering what people experience since ...

Yes, I haven't got outside in Paris with a lot of people and shit, but I suspect maybe at most 10 fps lost which still is pretty awesome...

Guess I'm one of the lucky ones somehow..

No issues yet, saves are working...Version V4 Ali with deleting the localization file. No need for registry change or anything if you want English..Works perfectly here for now...

Will for sure test more but that's my review up to now technically wise.

Cheers! Very Happy

Damn!! I speak the language and now ..IM even scared to get in Paris..

Well, guess I can expect something like getting into Boston..Meh..

ok but your talking about the modern world with 7 billion inhabitants, back in 1790 the population of the earth was only around 1 billion.

Its still a game, and ubisoft claims to be a maker of those. Having an overcrowded city in a game where you mainly run away and parcour/freerun around is just annoying design.

Performance got a bit better after tweaking it, if the Patch really improves Performance just a tiny bit, it should run fine.

Experienced the first rift, really fun stuff. Now if the game wasn't such a shitty port with moon gravity it would be really good actually.

-------

And Rogue, yes quite great!

I do find it TOO much like Black Flag. It's like a freaking expansion pack.
