What's the difference between v4 and v5? v4 already worked flawless right?

To run it properly at 1080p (Ultra High details and MSAA x4) you pretty much need two GTX GTX 780Ti/980 cause I get 30fps with a single card (tried both a 780ti and a 980), but unlike most people, i´m not complaining, I knew what I was expecting. I´m not trying to justify their shitty coding and luckluster job at optimizing games, but I do believe Unity does feature the best graphcis I´ve seen up to know.
Black Flag already had shitty performance with a gtx 780 at 1080p maxed with Pshyx Effects, and this one looks way, way better. Except the water, I think Black Flag looked actually worse than ACIII.

Wonder how Rogue will perform, it's using the Black Flag engine no? and not this updated version used by AC: Unity.
(Maybe like AC: Liberation on PC where it used the AC III engine version with various Black Flag features.)

I really hope you mean in the AC series, as well with that other comment on previous page about "how next-gen should look like".. Yes compared to other AC games it looks more "next gen" than the others..
But if you mean compared to ALL other games out there, then you have some serious big amount of horseshit in your eyes

(Handled via Nvidia GameWorks according to a post on GeForce.com.) |
No doubt that it will have an effect since tessellation normally does have an impact on performance. The last thing we need with Unity is another performance killer so if it end up dropping FPS by 10 FPS or more i'll probably just play without it.
My 6th sense tells me that this is exactly what is going to happen.

Regardless of what he meant the game doesn't even look that good to justify how it runs.
I see nothing awe inspiring graphics wise.

Well played a bit entered first major area and just spent some time running and jumping here and there. And i can say when it doesn't lag its fucking great! Free running is really good this time thats for damn sure.
Noticed that if you alt+tab the game and get back in starts to run like shit for a lot of time after you return and doing some weird lag spikes like you are watching a movie and start to quickly stop/start the video. Also happens when you have cinematic with brutal frame drop. Next 20-30 seconds performance drop a lot.
I still keep my hopes they will fix the performance at least 10-20% to remove some of those.

To each their own I guess. I play the game at 1600p at home and I know how it looks. Except for Crysis 3, Ryse, Metro LL and a couple more games, I dont think there are many titles that look as good as Unity.

As others have noted, it's a really demanding game. I get about 65-85fps running around the first town. I've seen a cinematic go as low as 47. Really nice to have G-Sync for this one.
2560x1440, all maxed except only FXAA and no soft shadows.

It is demanding, but it doesn't deliver. That's the problem.

Started getting a weird problem when trying to enter the last two areas in the city where I have to uncover the fog by syncing the map or what to call it.
Looked on the Ubisoft forums and found that at least one person had the same issue.
http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php/948040-Assassin-s-Unity-Game-Arno-freezing-in-certain-sections-of-the-map
The game freezes but sound still works as does all the menu screens but every NPC and such in the game is completely frozen.
First I thought it was a issue with syncing against UPlay but it does the same in offline mode so it's some weird in-game bug.
(Kinda funny with how the world is like in Unreal Engine with the "TimeStop" command but it's unplayable so I'll have to find a way to fix it.)
