Yeah I'm slowly but steadily getting interested too in this year's version, despite the peasant treatment towards us, because in all honesty, FIFA 15 has turned out to be quite the disappointment for me.

Better visuals and all, but the gameplay was seriously streamlined. So many unrealistic coast-to-coasts and counterattacks triggered by every single through ball with no midfield and pressing whatsoever. Players who systematically hit the post 5 times in a row, that's not football, it's Captain Tsubasa! Very Happy Laughing

Hope this PES can grant a better balance overall (because PES 2014 had serious problems too with the positioning and automated patterns). Damn, why can't we have nice things.

got forced to play it two hours this evening. after some time its kinda entertaining (played almost only against the ai before), but fifa got the better complete package. ai in this is dumb as fuck, even keepers did more bullshit the two hours (i just say bouncer) as they did the whole hrs i wasted in fifa yet. gameplay is not that great at all, first maybe u might be excited but after you've seen everything its kinda predictable as always and as in fifa. gameplay has its pros and cons, personally i would like the whole thing a little bit faster. i want some fun and not ultra realistic boring italian football style (sorry ixi Wink)

Haha no need to say sorry about that Janz, it's the truth!
We still love our catenaccio, there's nothing to do. Very Happy
Thanks for the feedback, maybe even with the flaws it won't be too bad (my expectations are very low). Though the long quest for the proper, ideal football game will probably never be resolved. Okay

Well, seems that at least they've adjusted the price this year accordingly to the quality of the port

Just like NBA2K did this year, just the other way around.

So much hate. Razz Some models in FIFA are bad (with buffed shoulders and shit), but overall it looks miles better than PIS 15.

What the fuck is this shit?

The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.

Models and their animations are shit in FIFA, fact. But I agree with you that FIFA looks better overall this year (PC platform).

It may look better (other than the models), but it feels a bit more realistic in terms of pace and so on.

I really don't care if it looks pretty or not. Does it play a good and realistic game of football? Mods will take care of the rest. There is always the LOD mixer to do the job graphics wise.

First impressions around the net is that the game lacks in all areas (presentation, commentary, licenses) except gameplay which is described as the best ever in a PES. I'll try the game and I'll be back with my opinion. It seems though that they've put most effort to team tactical variation and individuality.

yes and no.

the pc version is a disgrace!

read a few reviews etc, its not THE best pes ever. but its much better as the last years (wasnt difficult after the last years desaster). everybody says its more direct now (i.e. less of input lag) but for me controls feel still laggy. and hey an important feature is that they put in rain again Very Happy

I don't trust reviewers especially in a gaming field (sports videogaming) that I know very well. I've never had problems with input lag in a PES game. What I want to see is play variation from cpu and realistic build up+good goalkeeping and a decent amount of fouling.
For the first time I play a football game (FIFA 15) which feels like football (modded though and ini tweaked because the vanilla game is a disaster). I hope PES 15 is good.
