You all heard of the app. I have two friends who use it. Both male.
So one of them met a girl, fucked her on first date, but then started dating with her. Our mutual friends (and I) advised not to pursue a serious relationship with a girl met on a fuck-and-forget app. He didn't listen.
I just met him, he cried. They were together for 4 months, my mate fell in love (apparently, so did the girl). Now, being together is a very plastic term here, as the girl just admitted to fucking 2 other guys the past two weeks - not at the same time. As irony would have it, she got found out through a RL mutual friend.
They both deleted their tinder, when they started dating, but the girl started using again. As she admitted, just for the positive feedback (she is hot and cute, I admit). But then she asked herself, what could happen if she met with a guy, and then one thing led to the other. My mate broke it off, but said the girl said she still loves him...
Now, none of my female friends use the app, because they simply say it's slutting, so they don't do it.
What do you think, are people who use Tinder ... simply easy? Does this kind of no strings attached sex, and not having to work for your scores lead anywhere ... can it lead anywhere at all?
I admit, I never had sex with a girl I didn't have feelings for, so I don't know what to think of Tinder and its users...
I saw things like that in here and in other "woman problems" topics so...... Am I the only one that thinks some authorities needs to be alerted about Saner and him possibly being a rapist and/or kidnapper ?
Saner is not being serious. Unless its the subject of Santa!
It's basically a hot-or-not app. You see pictures of people, you swipe one way for hot, and another for not. If you swipe hot on a guy/girl, who swipes hot for your picture as well, then you get a match, and get the chance to chat up the other person.
Then you fuck him/her a few hours later, and ... and I don't know what happens next. Stuff like in my OP, I guess.
Only heard about it a few weeks ago, think Invasor mentioned it. Don't even know it's big in Europe or so, I'm usually quite ignorant to that side of the internet and glad to be.
When I heard about it, I instantly thought that it's the same type of people you'd meet in a club... so yeah... Personally I find apps like that quite retarded and have no idea why anyone would want to use it for serious things.
It's not that I'm against meeting people through 'online' platforms... after all me and my fiancee got to know eachother through WoW. But I would never actively search for a partner online, especially not with crap things like that.
I believe and I can be wrong about some individuals... that the standards of people on there are quite low already. Aka it's for people with a fleeting mindset. The generation with no responsibilities other than their own so one shouldn't be surprised that things like these happen with people from on there.

I have many friends, who are happily married with someone they met online. They are also among the happiest couples I know. But they weren't searching for online fuckbuddies.
I think I couldn't date someone who was an active Tinder user. Just seems so shallow.
Getting emotionally invested in a girl he met through a hookup app
Spending more than 2 days in contact with a girl he met through a hookup app
Letting a girl he met through a hookup app toy with his feelings
Being desperate enough to fall in love with a girl he met through a hookup app
Trusting a bitch he met through a hookup app
Thinking he'll meet the love of his life through a hookup app
I've met many girls online and I have to say that from my experience to not trust anything they say.
They always sell you some victimhood story to gain your empathy and then the games begin. it's like they collect guys through their emotional hooks and live off validation from multiple guys wanting them.
I'm too old, experienced and tired for crap like that so tell your friend to just look for his partner somewhere respectable.
I've actually done this so many time that I have a mental template to deal with this repeating scenario
personally i dont care what a person use.
facebook/tinder/forum/mirc/whatever.
i care about how that person act.
what you want to do, you meet a girl on facebook for example, and because she become your girlfriend, you ask her to delete her account ? cause of course, you meet her there, other people may hit on her to, and she will sleep with all of them.
in this case, i see it pretty simple. with or without tinder, that girl was not a serious person. if it was not for tinder, i bet she will have slept anyway with another man. because that's how it was. put the blame where it belongs.
what if you will find out on tinder a girl which you liked in the past, and you lost her for various reasons ? you will refuse to try to meet her again, just because is on tinder ? or on another platform ? as long the site/app/whatever is not called "meetandfuck" i say is ok.
I've used Tinder for some months and for me it worked. Because of Tinder I'm now 9 months, and still going strong, in a wonderful relationship with an amazing girl and baby. Before Tinder I didn't know her at all, and we even went to the same sports gym but we never noticed eachother. But because of Tinder...we did. If a woman is active on Tinder because she wants sex, she can get it at the same night. It's so easy for girls to hook up with a guy and just fuck. If we, men, want a serious relationship out of it it's going to be a tougher job. In the end Tinder is just easy to use. It's a meat test for everyone and the best of all is that you'll see hundreds of women going through your screen and if they don't swipe you to the right, you don't care, you just swipe a hundred more until you get a match.
While you might find many people like that, as with every single community, you have all kinds of people. You might just meet the perfect girl for you.

Any girl that fucks you on the first date is not relationship material, it doesn't matter how you met her. If it went so easy for you, how easy was it for other guys to fuck her?

Mate, if this was a story about me, I would have said so. It's one of my friends.
Right now I'm still getting over my last GF, whom we broke up with some 4 monthsish ago. Don't really feel like getting back in the dating game for a while.

Primary use is just a hookup, altho I've heard people who are in happy long lasting relationships that started via those apps. So it all depends on a person.
But since they are mainly a hookup apps there is a larger portions of people who don't use it for anything more, and they are somehow perceived as shallow ppl (which some are, but others aren't).
Nothing is black and white.
I installed it once, just to see if I'll see someone familiar, but I saw no one familiar there so I uninstalled it xD
Altho I did find my bf on a dating website, so I have nothing against those means of finding your SO

Just asked my other friend about his Tinder experiences ... and ... wow, awkward story. Don't know, if I believe it yet:
So he met his boss (younger than he is), and swiped yes. So did his boss. Awkward. They never brought up the topic though This has disaster written all over it, if they engage.
And one night stands really depend on people. In Poland it's a not yet as relaxed as in the west.
I would even say you'd have a vast difference with Europe and the USA in it's use. But that is just based on the comments I hsve read (without even knowing what it was, been a long time I thought it was a site until it got mentioned on this forum as an app).
I wasn't aware of the existence of this thing until recently, and to be honest I haven't found the courage to use it yet. I don't why, but the whole online dating business doesn't intrigue me at all. It actually creeps me out
I'm more 'old school' so to speak, prefer a different approach (which also involves failures), and I'm not really capable of adapting to this new generation's flirting techniques. Bachelor Quag out xD
