Okay, let me write something here, that is true.
The only reason Harry Potter (which is quite a solid series of books - for KIDS) is this popular, is because the masses don't read literature, and certainly not the sophisticated kind. Harry Potter is the cultural epitome of what the modern average man is capable of consuming, that is the reason for the popularity.
I pity this generation (which is my generation as well), because it has more narcissistic and shallow people, than any other generation before.

That is your subjective opinion and it has nothing to do with truth.

It's not just Harry Potter. There is a trend of the last ~10 years, where children books, with the sophistication level suitable for 12 year olds, is marketed to ""young adults"", and for many reasons, they are popular even among the adult population. Harry Potter is hardly the worst offender.

Yeah, HP is, like I said, quite solid. Most YA novels make me puke though, especially since they are basically all the same story/characters/melodrama - note: it's not drama, it's melodrama, which is bad.
Same thing in movies. Watched a couple of these young adult shits ... sad. Anyway, sorry for offtopicing in the SS section.

She's cute and all and its not like I'd kick her outta bed or anything, but I don't think she is hot.
Pretty, for sure. but not hot.
I guess it's a taste thing, I dunno

She would probably offer a solid supporting role .. i could be wrong of course there could be dynamite chemistry that trivialises any aversion to twigs.
Much respect to her .. she's working the system like a pro ..look forward to more roles from her.

Disagree ..see times when slavery/class-ism was commonplace.

HEYA CHIN! Long time bud
Agreed btw, on the culture thing. People are all about looking good. BUT, there is looking good for vanity and being in shape because it makes you feel good, health wise.
Like me, I train/teach martial arts, and a side effect of doing so is building muscle, toning muscle and hardening muscle. But I don't do it for my wife or anyone but myself.
Same goes for Missy (Melissa, my wife). She does yoga and cardio and spin class 2 hours a day, every day.
Not so she can have a fantastic body, but because she is a physiotherapist and wants to stay in shape and she knows well the benefit of exercise right. The bonus part is I get a woman who a gorgeous face and hair PLUS the perfect body...not skinny cause she counts calories, but slender because she works out and has always been some form of athlete.
She stopped doing gymnastics just before I met her so she's petite already and already in shape. Thats why she took up yoga, to stay limber. And the other exercise is for health benefits.
Btw, sometimes the way you wax about things, you should right a Dante style book about Generation X or whatever Generation you're from
And agreed, she is better looking than a lot of the so called 'uber hotties'. Jennifer Lawerence comes to mind. The girl from the Hunger Games...yeah she has a nice young body but I don't think her face is pretty at all, even when she has professionally done makeup and hair. I don't know why so many people think she is 'so hot'.

Well I actively don't like the way she looks. Not attractive at all imo
