See this is what happens when the same developer works on both gens DAI is great on both old gen and next gen (just slightly better on next gen). Shadow of Mordor had a different developer for PS3/Xbox 360 than next gen and it looks like dog poo. SofM obviously could have been good on 360/PS3 if it had a competent developer instead we get this.

Yet they still think they still charge suckers who aren't in the mod community and havent gone next gen the full $59.99 for utter trash. Fuck you.

/end rant

Some actual 360 gameplay:

Looks nice for an old console, lots of pop-in but for me looks nice.
btw i can't remember worse facial hair then DA:I has, it looks like a glued beard.. wtf is that?

Framerate looks terrible but honestly? The visuals themselves don't look any different/worse than the likes of DAO or DA2, so fuck it.. if Denuvo stays uncracked for long I'll just grab the 360 version Very Happy

HAHA ! I was gonna say the same thing... Sometimes I like to leave the splendor of my comfortable villa in the land of the Master Race and slum it w/ the console peasants since I was one not too long ago Wink

It looks more than decent, actually. I certainly expected a lot worse. It's obviously last gen, but it looks surprisingly alike to the big boys version (especially from a safe distance Razz).

I don't know... DA II looked a lot sharper that DAI so far. The LOD is low as hell and the lighting sure took a big hit both in quality and the shadow castin ( a lot of objects/trees have no shadow casting with makes the entire scene look really flat).
Hmm... I've notice that LOD quality is crappy on both of the last games with install files (SoM and DAI), and I recall GTA V having issues with the games and the install files running from the same storage device, I wonder if that's the case here with all these issues I'm noticing -- I mean some weird as hell in DAI like the same character being super low poly in one cutscene after looking pretty decent in another 30mins before. Will try switching to external regarding main game, with install packs running from internal.

Ive been playing it for the past 12 hours. The gfx on PS3 are really good, but there are framerate issues. And i had to restart the game 2 times because of some kind of memory leak (the game started crawling at felt 15fps, but was fine after the reboot).

@cobALT

That could be it, GTAV was terrible for people playing the PSN/XBL downloaded version (or the JTAG/CFW ISO) from the same drive it installed gamedata too. Perhaps the same thing happening here for you?

Yeah, that's why I was thinking that, as I specifically remember GTA V was hugely improved after running gamedata and install data from separate storage devices/DVD.
But after trying DAI last night with gamedata/install data on internal/external HDD, some issues still persist -- like like small bushes poping in very close to you -- textures are a lot sharpers and seem to load faster thugh there's still some pop up on certain scenes and polygon LOD on certain character seem to have been fixed. I still think DA II looked better, and I'm being nostalgic here, I recently replayed it not 2 months ago on a different character.

I remember playing DA2 on PC and thought it looked terribly bad, specially character faces.

What I'm seeing of DA3 on PS360 looks tons better thanks to Frostbite than DA2 running this old biowhore game engine.

DA2 looked very bland. If DA2 looks better than this, something must be terribly wrong.

I agree with cyclone. It definitely looks better than DA2, even though I've only seen it on a YT video so far. Faces, lighting, details - everything looks better (IMO, of course). I do see some shadows missing at times, though (from some trees and stuff), so shortcuts like that might be what creates the bad impression in some people. It's kinda inevitable, however, cosindering the hardware. Overall, it looks like a pretty solid port.

Grated it was a lot more simplified or stylized, depending on how you want to look at it, but it looked better overall.

 Spoiler:

On the same note, I replayed TW2, a fair comparison to a game like DAI as they are both open world RPGs, this summer on x360 and that looks miles better than DAI on x360, with little to no texture popups at all. Granted TW2 had loading zones, and from what I understand DAI doesn't except for cutscenes/area transitions. Would have easily preferred a couple of loading screens compared to this mess of a popup fest, low textures and pretty hefty loading screens when they do occur.

i can confirm that it runs better from external drive

Did you mean Two Worlds 2 or The Witcher 2? anyway The Witcher 2 was wonderful and from someone who didn't play the first game The Witcher 3 became my most anticipated game, all because playing 2 on 360, such a great game, and runs very good (for 360/PS3 standards). I don't get why the last games on 360/PS3 looks less good then lets say Mass Effect games... i guess devs just don't care anymore.. no big deal tho since it's already the end for 360/PS3.

I agree with you. Multiplatform games that are on ps4/one look kinda bad these days for ps360 standard. As you said mass effect 3 looks amazing compared to these latest games.

Hell lately I played some NFS the run on PS3 and I think it looks really good (and that comes from somebody who owns NFS rivals on ps4). Should I keep going ? Max Payne 3 is still really nice...

Thats the one! Unless it gets delayed again!

I'm really enjoying Dragon Age Inquisition. The game is huge! I was kind of hoping to upgrade and customise my own character only but it seems I have to upgrade and customise the whole party :/

The game feels overwhelming at times.
