In this case it sounds like the phasing means putting huge parts of the server at random on different phased servers, not the questing style phasing in Icecrown. They claim that they'll try to keep friends/guilds on the same phase.
A lot of other MMOs use this type of phasing and have for years.

dont know how phasing will help with garrison, because the same number pf people people will try to access the garrison server. phasing help's with world lag.
if the issue with garrison is number of people trying to access that particular server, only a hardware upgrade will help, so i presume after the patch we can play fine questing and so, but garrison will still be shit. because quest/leveling progressing require to be in there.

So far this expansion has been fantastic. The content in Draenor just shits all over everywhere else. Garrison is a lot of fun, the quests are so much better with even more scripting and dialogues than Pandaria. The quest rewards are better now because instead of getting green gear most of the time, there's resources and followers which are much more interesting.

Does buying Draenor come with a full install? I lost my old disks and dont want to download 40gig or whatever its up to these days.
Does it have all the expansions as well?

Warlords doesn't come with any of the expansions or the base game. But if you already own the base game, then I'm fairly sure it comes with all 3 expansions for free. You can't even buy the old expansions on their site anymore, so...
Regardless if you don't even have the game installed then of course it will have to download everything again.

the client is the same. starter edition / mop /wod.
i have a disk in my box, but no ideea what is on it, but i doubt is a 24+ gb disk. probly you will need to download the whole deal again.
i just moved an fresh installation from one hdd to another and it's 26.4 GB.

Actually i've got less than 2 hours out of the game. Every time thus far i've gotten in, the servers had maintenance a short while after. 6k queue lasts a long time.

seems like its workin now. did some missons and went 3 times to my garnison. was gettnig in everytime without any problems.
but lets wait till more people will come online later today... but for now it's working for me

WoW EU website is down. Endless queues ingame, population on US servers are bigger - I don't understand why EU servers are broken :/
Playing on US Akama while I'm in the Q for EU-Frostwolf x) ...

I'm sort of enjoying the levelling experience so far but I'm worried that this expansions "gimmick" is you basically just playing farmville.
I hope I get positively surprised at level 100
