I have no idea if this means anything, i don't even know what PiD is(from the looks of it, it scans executables?), but in its newest beta version it has something like this:
"* new - added in fuzzy detection for a new protector (work in progress) (denuvo) (experimental but so far it detect all 3 titles that have it.. fifa15, lords of the fallen and dragon age inquisition, 2 of which were ea access wrapped, the other steam.. all of which were x64.. i scanned my entire steam folder and about 200,000 other executables to see if the detection for this caused any false positives, and it does not appear to have done so... so fingers crossed we might have a detection for this thats stable"

I am trying to buy it using the Mexican VPN through Hola. I turn the extension on, add the item to the basket, checkout, turn off Hola, I am taken to the Italian origin page but there the cart is empty. Am I missing something? I tried replicating the steps while being logged in to either of the origin sites (Mexican origin and Italian origin) but it made no difference.

1. Load up Mexican proxy
2. Hit up origin.com - log in
3. Select the game, place in basket and proceed to checkout. Stop, when you are prompted for your CC details.
4. Stop proxy
5. Reload page (set English if you need it). Enter CC details.
6. Buy

Buying through Mexican proxy + unlocking through Hong Kong won't come back to bite you in the ass once you stop using proxies and log into Origin normally to play the game?
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

Thanks, I was stopping the proxy in the cart page instead of where it asks for credentials. Since it is my first time ever buying a game off origin using a proxy, do I need to use a VPN to download the game even after that it becomes available in my actual country?

Nope.
But you can do the preload with proxy.
So, if you bought the game now, then fire up origin, while proxied up - select US proxy, those are pretty fast (don't know, what you are using though - I use vyprvpn for my proxies).
Click on the game and start preload, wait a couple of minutes, then stop the proxy. Preload will continue without proxy, and DL it fast.
Tomorrow, load up Hong Kong proxy at 16:00 CET, and you can activate and play your game.
There, you cheated half the price off the game, and can play 4 days early.

Last time I checked you need to log in only when you are asked to after the checkout process. And it is safer. So, you disable proxy, log in as usual then pay via paypal.

Nah, EA so far hasn't cared about it. I preordered Mass Effect 3 back in the day and used a US proxy to unlock the game 3 days earlier, no issues at all.

why do all this? you don't need proxy to buy, just to add game to cart. it's actually highly recommended to disable proxy when buying as to not put your personal info at risk.

I sincerely hope your game won't be Spanish only as Origin loves to limit languages based on areas.

Right. I was wondering about the possibility of EA noticing that you paid the Mexico rate for your game and then log in to play it from a distinctly non-Mexican locale - possibly even one that shouldn't have been able to unlock the game yet - and then putting that together and doing something troublesome like terminating your account.

I bought the new sims through Origin mexico, paid without the proxy and then asked for a refund 20 hours later through the "Great Game Guarantee".
They didn't give me any trouble and I still had access to the game for a total of maybe 4-5 days as it took them some time to process the request.
For anyone who doesn't want to wait for a crack, this is an obvious solution. Just keep in mind you cannot do this too often or they might start refusing the refund.
You can also try to see if you keep the game as long as you keep Origin in offline mode. Sims 4 worked just fine offline, but I didn't try it after the refund processed - I had already uninstalled the game by then.

Never happened to me before on Origin and purchased a few games from the Mexican store.
On Steam on the other hand... locked much tighter if you want to purchase for cheaper.
edit: Not talking about the Steam sales, just to be perfectly clear.

I think one's location only limits what version one can buy directly from Origin, that's it. So if one gets a multilanguage key activated, it's all good then.
There is a thread on EA forums where a Russian guy asked how he could get a proper version that would have English language available (voice over+ text) and EA's dude told him to buy and activate a European version

If you wait a couple of weeks, cdkey sites will be selling this at around 20 or less euros, by that time bioware will have launched a couple of patches.

no, worst what happened doing this was EA removed game from account and refunded that person. but this was like a year or two ago, i think when everyone was buying BF4 this way.

So I'm guessing you didn't get that mod for Origins then.
