Maybe it's best that way, so you didn't have to witness the dance off. Yeah you read that right.
Not exactly the climax of the movie Laughing

"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."

They have a large database and its very easy to navigate,

but the scores and discussions are infantile and insulting to the art medium.

Do you have a better recommendation so I don't have to pull my hair and cry on the inside

every time I see superhero movies and teenager flicks like hunger games score higher then masterpieces?

I am still shaking my head at the fact that this got such a high score, and people are actively defending it in the imdb forums

What manure. How does a rating make one film better than another? It just means that it is more popular. Neither Blade Runner nor 2001 are popular today, or during the existence of imdb. If it wasn't for the skewed weights that imdb gives to some of its users, the "top 250" would not look like it does currently at all. Either live with it, or shut your eyes to any rating system that does not suit your taste 100%.

@The witch with water in its lungs

Well Pass the Popcorn usually has nice user ratings (more about the film than it's popularity), they also show the imdb and RT scores. But yeah... that's a private tracker so xD

it doesn't really matter, just hurts a bit to see crap like that popular. Forever Alone

I don't usually care, but this movie was such drivel, that the score just caught me completely by surprise, even though i'm well aware of the imdb lol worthy scores.

I've recently watched a Dolph Lundgren 90's flick, where an alien drug dealer kills people with magnetic field guided CD's, and it was not as bad as guardians Aww Yeah

Predestination - 8/10

Just watched it, jesus christ, this was mind bending, this is proper time travel done right, best movie about time travel i have seen in a while, last time i witnessed similar vibes was with 12 monkeys..although not as good of a movie, it is on the same vein.

This is way more complex than the likes of looper and later time travel movies, the way they tell the story, the sctruture is very nice, you will think it is predictable at first but it really isnt, its very refreshing, and i have seen about every time travel movie there is out there, the main plot is realy original and well done.

Way up there with classics like Crime Times (spanish) and 12 monkeys as mentioned..

Dont wanna spoil anything and they are 2 completely different movies, but i apreciated the aproach to the subject (its kinda similar) in this rather than on Interstellar wich ill go on next:

Interstellar - 7/10

Im sure i will be on the minority, but im a big big fan of The prestige and Memento, i think prestige is a well directed movie with an awesome plot, as well as the latter, that beeing said..

I like this movie, but not as much as his past ones, it has 3 acts, the middle act is better imo than the other 2, beeing the last one the weaker part.

It definatly didnt need to be 3h long, theres some things that get repeated (just like in inception, so everyone can get it, for the 3th or 4th time) and the conclusion is clumsy and kinda vague at some potions and he leaves a lot to the imagination (and offscreen) wich i dont really like, because , like i said, he spends a lot of time with exposition explaining rather simple and dull things to the audience, and than what we really want to know, some really crucial details to hold the thing toghether arent mentioned at all, leaving the movie with the lazy writing feeling.

I really did enjoy the technical aspect of the movie, the overall feeling of the space travelling was awesome, exploring the planets was cool, ala mass effect, you can really tell he saw or played some of the mass effect universe, the whole planet with water and the shuttle design and feel of it are very similar to some levels of the game.

I also thingk he overused close ups on the space ship and shuttle, i would prefer him to show wider shots of them in the context of space, theres too few of those, probably for budget reasons, who knows, or limitations of some kind.

The last act is where the thing just didnt really work for me, it tried to cram to much into it and it ended up beeing a mess, it should of been cut by 10 minutes or so, as well as the prologue of the movie, there were imo huge pacing issues in the early scenes and the latter ones, all crammed into each other and didnt blend well at all, kinda like he tries to make these later movies (inception) more complex and structured than they really are in essence, they are rather simple, but the editing makes it look like its some puzzle movie or something, and it really isnt, its a bit pretentious, but it was an improvement for me over inception, that movie is to me like the definition of pretentiousness.

It started ok but in the middle of the movie it went south with we're mercenaries but we have morals. At least in comic book (which was mediocre too) it had more logic.
And they didn't have the balls to do Tydeus right eg. brain eating, berserking, 100% evil motherfucker.

A nice surprise as it's from my home country Australia and it doesn't suck. You will probably like it more if you've never heard of all you zombies. Half way through I was like waaaait a minute this all sounds too familiar. Didn't even realize it's an adaptation of the short story from Heinlein (the starship troopers guy) until I saw the credits roll. Dragged on a bit at parts I thought. Overall solid. If you like time travel it's one of the best premises on it out there.

Transformers 4 - 8.5/10

I guess i belong to the main audience for Michael Bay Laughing

But the movie enjoyed me, probably because i liked all the Transformers movies so far.

Optimus Prime, that blonde chick, and that green Transformer with the coat:
Frap Frap Guy

That scene were that green alien wants to lick with his tentacle tongue the wet vagina of the blonde chick:
Me Gusta Frap Frap Guy

Mockingjay, Part 1 4.0/10

Very meh. Started off quite bland and cliche. During the middle point of the movie it seemed like it was starting to get more interesting ( coincidentally scenes where J.Law was not in it) and then it flat lined, both the plot and J.Laws acting
(People credit her acting range and the ability to take diverse roles, but I just did not see it).

Donald Sutherland and Woody Harrelson were the ones keeping movie going, but other than that it was a disappointment.

Peeta, peeeta peeeaata, PEEEETA ..... My ears still ring from it...

First one was ok'ish, the rest I disliked quite a bit.

I loved my Transformer toys, show/movie in the 80's and comics... but this tripe, nope!
Sadly, I am getting used of my childhood franchises being shit on (TMNT,GI joe,Transformers,Ghostbusters...). I seriously wonder whom they target... it's not the original fans at least.

Hell they even destroyed my little pony! Devil Troll

I wasn't a big fan of Brave either TBH, and normally I love all Pixar films (except brave and cars... oh yeah and planes...)

Isn't Tangled 2 coming out sometime in the near future?

also, i hope they dont do a tangled sequel. first movie was great, but i cant really see where they'd go with a sequel now that shes rich and lives in a mansion with her own army and has short hair.

there IS a tangled short film though, which was pretty hilarious if you need more tangled.
