I dont really know how crack scene works, buy when a game comes out with a new fuckass protection, does all groups gets togheter to destroys it or is it each groups works and dont share the knowledge?

This particular protection requires raw processing power to crack, my guess is the power from a distributed botnet or the like will be utilized to do it. No real cooperation as the groups are competing but will come to the same conclusion about how to solve the problem, it really comes down to a question of resources. Cryptology really takes away the asymmetric potential of normal DRM cracking by forcing a brute force approach that with classical computers means a shit-load of processing power. Values as discovered will likely be shared in the interest of common progress, however.

No. Just no.

Controls with K&M make no sense in this game, the one who designed this must've been an idiot (since it was working fine in the previous games). I don't know how synergistic engines and controls are. Could it be the switch to Frostbite? It's confusing since they didn't actually have to change anything, just copy/paste the previous games. I'm guessing it should be easy to fix, just add auto-attack/follow and let it zoom out further. I'm using a gamepad, it makes things easier.
It's a bit weird how in a game with such effort something so simple is wrong. It literally takes ten minutes to notice that something isn't right about the controls.

I've seen this in three reviews now. Don't do all the fetch quests, you don't have to. It's like collecting feathers in Assassin's Creed, which you can stick in your ass when you're done.

It's a problem with the game itself really, it's fairly vague at the start. It kind of makes it seem like you should be doing some of those quests. Even if you go and open up some other areas, nothing really improves in that regard. You just have a whole bunch of new areas, each with their own shitload of side-quests.

The problem is Laidlaw had enough time to fuck it up well and good this time around. in hindsight, the limited development time of DA2 was a blessing in disguise. It limited the amount of damage he could do.

If you're actually saying this is worse than DA2, I disagree fully. Apart from the controls, everything else is miles ahead.

I can't really see that as being a problem with the game though. They do ask you to spread the influence of the inquisition, but it's not like you have to do every single side quest to that purpose. Not saying they haven't messed some things up, but with this it feels like, if they do too much hand-holding they get flak for that, and if they let you choose on your own where to go and how many quests you want to do then that's not good either.

Just tested and can confirm it actually works: http://i.imgur.com/jpj7R99.jpg (censored the cd-key and order number for obvious reasons).

Bought it for a friend and she had no problems activating the game on Origin and play in English.

Combat is worse than DA2 - basically exactly the same, except now you can't even control your units.

@lolozaur

It's not that easy, unfortunately. It's not a pdf file, it's only available on the site. And unlike they used to do it back then (simple html without fancy stuff), it is presented differently now, so it's harder to save it even using offline explorer.

I actually tried to save it via offline explorer. I logged in via built-in offline explorer browser so that it had cookies available. OE seemed to have downloaded it (~800Mb, there is a shitload of jpgs). When I opened exported guide (export to folder), the main page was OK however when I clicked to open a certain page from the guide I saw this sign rotating (you can see it briefly when watching unlocked for unregistered users guide's pages. It means it is loading the contents of this particular page). So it was rotating and didn't go away(javascript issues when saving?)

I dunno what settings should I set so that OE would download it properly.

Actually, if you have "alternative" version of offline explorer you could try to download the guide. It won't download locked pages however it will try to get what is unlocked. And if you find how to deal with this loading sign (maybe specific OE settings?) I could then get the full guide

PS I also tried to get it via httrack and it had the same issue(rotating symbol indicating "loading")

Lots of us have.

Now, which class to play, dangit.

I rolled an Elven archer and am now up to level 4, but I think I'm going to re-roll a mage. You can respec in this game and with a mage, you have a ton of options from damage, support, crowd control, big AoE's, etc. The archer is pretty cool, but it seems you can have a larger impact on battles with a mage. If you want to just do raw DPS, a dual wielding rogue might be cool and focus on stealth and backstab type of damage. I personally wouldn't chose a warrior because they seem like they'd be boring in this game after a short while.

Of course you can take control of any party member at any time, so you can try out all the classes if you like. I'm trying to figure out what I want as my primary party. It may be too early to judge, but you need at least one warrior and maybe a second might be good too as they don't require much babysitting and can sponge up some damage. A rogue of some type for damage is going to be pretty standard. I may go with Varric, but will see how it plays out. Of course you'll need at least one mage and this will probably be the most played class as well. The Knight Enchanter sub-class is supposed to be pretty crazy powerful. I think, for me at least, I will go with either warrior, rogue, 2 mages or 2 warriors, a rogue and a mage.

If the controls were better, it would really be more fun. I've been using the derbox 360 controller because there is no auto-attack and the keyboard is very unresponsive for looting. Also, the kb/m controls in general need some work. I'd much rather use kb/mouse, but I'm tired of fighting the damn controls.

Thanks for the insight. Smile Smile Smile

[edit] I've been using my PS4 controller + DS4windows for PC ports with shitty KB+M schemes.

Dunno what the fuck is up. Not creating a new account so my games are on different accounts just to play this steaming pile of shit. Well, half shit anyway.
