Can someone please upload his or her C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age Inquisition\Save folder? The game starts with Int's settings and there's nothing I can do from my end without a reference point.

Can you disable the cloud saving shit, delete the settings, then try again? |
Windowed mode seems to work just fine as long as it's not focused.

There any way to force window mode via shortcut? I cannot find the BF4 command to do so, if there is even one.

Compare the above screenshot to this one:

Massive difference. |
The game has problems, like the previous games had problems, but your example is ridiculous. Did you really expect that from DA or Bioware?
I'm really enjoying the game, it opens up more every hour (I'm nor far though). I like the combat, though it's actoney (I never expected another DA:O as I said). I died several times, I actually have to keep things in check since some enemies can hit pretty hard. At this point, I'd put it next to DA:O honestly. I really enjoyed DA:O, it was great, but it also had a lot of problems. I personally am not a huge Bioware fan, some of their design decisions have always been shit, but I did enjoy all of their games (even the mediocore ones). The strength of this game is its level of detail and the clear effort taken by Bioware. I know it's said to praise effort, shouldn't every dev do that, but I rarely see true love in a game. This game has it. It's more action, but it works.
A gamepad is a must in this game btw, the k&m is just bad. Apparently Bioware forgot how to design k%m controls. I still lol at the "oh noes it controls bad with k&m? We didn't notice before release" bullshit comment on the official forum.

Expect what exactly? My comment was a direct response to this:
YuckFou wrote: | After almost finishing this game, you know what worries me? That the open world of Witcher 3 won't impress me after the world of this one. I'm actually impressed how detailed it is, how much there is to do in it and how well the game runs. Don't care if it's divided in to large sections. |

Ah OK, I didn't notice that comment. We'll see how WItcher 3 looks and runs in reality when it's released. As of now, DA3 is the best looking RPG IMO.

Can I change the resolution via shortcut? Such as a command or something? Was there any for BF4? My Google-fu escapes me right now.

In this whole circle of illegality it feels good to sometimes buy a game. Makes you feel partly legal again at least in some cells in the pants....

Fixed it. Used old BF3/4 command arguments.
-noBorder -noResize -lowPriority
EDIT: Removing them causes the game to CTD upon focusing the window again. Will post this to the forums, it's absolutely lolworthy.

Is the 2560x1440 resolution breaking it? I can log in, change it to something lower, and you can try again if it helps. |
This sounds messed up. So DAI is saving settings in the cloud? You have to be online in order to change resolution? |
No, the game was simply crashing back to desktop without ANY errors upon focusing the window of the game. As you remember, frostbite games start in a window first and then switch to fullscreen. Here's a sample: http://i.imgur.com/GRmC57j.jpg . The moment that image or preview are clicked, the game crashes.

@ClaudeFTW: is that FRAPS showing the fps? I can't get FRAPS or Afterburner working. Maybe it's a Mantle thing.

Yeah, it's fraps. Turned it on out of curiosity. Troubleshooting, if I may. Anyway, should work now, let's see how good or bad it is.

Its mantle thing, but you can enable frostbine fps counter
http://www.reddit.com/r/dragonage/comments/2mr0ae/useful_console_commands/
My game randomly crashes ( closes on its own ) , If I dont use mantle renderer , so if you are radeon user and your game closes on its own, updateto latest 14.11.02 or what number are on now, beta drivers and use mantle rendered in options
