Yeah, research items get marked as such right from the start, so that was not really an issue.
I do wonder about other unmarked valuables. Some of them seem to have special enough names and give me pause when I consider selling them.

It might be now, but that won't last long. I'm level 18 and the loot is still all mostly level 10 shit, so completely useless. I find it funny that they do have level scaling (seems to be in 4 level jumps - 11, 15, 19), yet the loot doesn't level along with it.

The biggest haul is in Val Royeaux, which you gain access to as part of the main plot. There are also some from various vendors in the different zones. You also get some from completing certain missions on the war table, and you can get class-bassed ones by unlocking the appropriate perks (under Forces). I'd recommend unlocking those ASAP, as I did them latter on and by that point they were a bit underwhelming.
If you preordered and/or got the deluxe edition (not sure which), you should also get some "xxxx of the dragon" weapon and armour ones in the special deliveries chest on at least 2 occasions. They can only be used for the inquisitor though, and the armour is basically useless because they don't have arm/leg upgrade slots, so other schematics can get much better stats. The weapon ones are ok, particularly at mid-levels, but there are others that are better.

The trinkets, statues, toy soldiers, etc? That's all junk.

I agree, Obsidian should have made this game.

Started playing the second game again, and this time i knew what to expect. The game is ok, but it's soul draining going through the same areas for hour and hours and hours..

@lolozaur The Obsidian can be found in the Dragon’s Nest. Or visit Crestwood zone.
The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.

FFS, I've almost forgotten how fucking terrible this game looks. Especially the UI, but the Awesome Dragon Highlight (tm) feature also sucks like... major time.

Why assume he has problems, maybe he's just looking for a date. Which is easier if it turns people at a 100% rate!
Can't fault the man for desperately seeking the warm embrace of another man!
