That's all based on stuff written in comics and suchlike - you do realize many if not most of those conflict with the "first" three movies, right? That's the clusterfuck that Star Wars is. When Lucas made episode I, it automatically undid tons of accepted lore that wasn't really "official lore". Generally, it's accepted that storm troopers = clone troopers and all the rest is guessing and off-the-beat stuff that hasn't been officially accepted from what I can tell. But then again, like I said, it's a clusterfuck so who knows ... .

The conflict only started with episodes I, II and III (and even then it's up to debate; clonetroopers != stormtroopers). But in the OT, stormtroopers are always human. There's no debate, as it was never suggested in the first place they were clones, until people got confused with the clones in the NT, wearing stormtrooper-like armor.

Just because once upon a time the Stormtroopers were clones doesn't mean they have to be clones until the end of times. Maybe clones were banned, or got pricey, or aren't anymore possible, or "insert reason here".
Same for "but lightsabers never looked like that". So? Some dude decided he'd like his lightsaber to look like that, should he have first asked the "lightsaber committee" for permission?
It's not even messing with the canon, it's ridiculous to suggest nothing can ever change in the SW universe.
It's like in the Kotor games that take place thousands of years before the movies and everything looks the same  That's not "respecting the canon", that's incredibly stupid.

just now watched the teaser. meh... i get why fans would cream themselves over this (the score alone with a turd floating in a bowl would likely have the same effect if you cut to it from a black screen and had the music suddenly blaring...), but to me... eh...
one thing that stood out, was ALL of it kinda felt 'right' in terms of the oldschool feel EXCEPT for those scenes with the stormtroopers inside what looked like a sort of transport or something? i got some real weird vibes from that... generic modern style vibes... total recall remake vibes... nuRobocop vibes... it just felt too overly 'sleek' and 'sci-fy'ey'? i hope most of the film is the former 'dirty, raw oldschool vibe' and not the 'overly manufactured nuSyFy' style...

The Jedi Order is still just a tiny group of people now right? They can't have managed to rebuild a lot in 30 years? In the Old Republic they were plentiful, but now they remain but a piece of what they were if I'm not completely mistaken.
Hence you don't have to be a Jedi to be force sensitive.
