No, It seems to have changed this year when I played fifa 15 tbh. I found tracking a man much harder. Not that good at the game though.

Teammate pressure with tactical defending is a joke in FIFA. They just become a shadow of the cpu attacking player without attempting to get the ball. This is not football. This is the reason I use Legacy Defending. I can still contain with LT and send a teammate to apply heavy pressure with the B button.

thats not true, ofc you have to attack the attacking player as in most cases the called cpu defender doesnt always get the ball by his own. but thats alright, then you have to get the ball, not the cpu. thats why they removed the option to control the gk (at least for online play in 13(?!?) cause you could have just switched to the gk and the cpu would do all the defending. in case of 15, as i said you have to attack the player OR you chose to block the passing way for the attacking cpu while your other defender trys to attack him

Wtf man this is not basketball or water polo! Cpu defenders are there to defend. Why on earth should I control 10 players to defend?

You can't be serious. You expect the user to control 10 players simultaneously? I want to play off-ball defense and my defenders be able to go for the ball. FIFA 15 vanilla cpu D awareness is non existent. You have to change nearly 10 strings in the ini to fix that. Also zonal/man to man marking is broken in FIFA. These are facts. Trust me, I play nearly 30 years sports videogames and I have the ability to reckon what's wrong and not.

nope i dont expect that. i just expect u as a player to do the essential work and not just letting the cpu doint the difficult things. maybe u should as konami that, isnt it possible to control a second player with the right stick in pes?

any of player renaming mods completed yet?
I can't play with fake names
I wish pes edit had a light edition with just name changes. they spend so much time adding boots and similar unimportant crap it always takes ages for them, and they usually break a few things every patch

PESedit will not release a patch for PES 15. There are some patches at pes-patch you might want to check.
The best one so far is this: http://www.pes-patch.com/2014/11/pes-2015-pte-patch-1-0.html
I'm also using this SweetFX: http://www.pes-serbia.com/threads/33686-SweetFX-PES-2015-HD
My settings on RadeoPro: 8xAA, 16xAF, 4xTesselation, HBAO Ultra.
Combined with the SweetFX the graphics are significally improved. |
Cheers for these, thankfully even if PESedit is out of the loop this year, there isn't shortage of great community goods.
PESMonkey apparently is trying to fix the brownish pitches as well: http://www.pes-patch.com/2014/11/pesmonkey-pes2015-pitch-weather-mod-v1-0.html
I've been playing the game non-stop lately, and must say that this PES may be rough in terms of presentation, but it's indeed hands down one of the best football games ever made. Konami really nailed it this time.
There's so much depth, variety and satisfaction in every action, that it always feels rewarding. Hats off really, the last time that I enjoyed a football game this much was when I jumped from FIFA 2002 to PES3.

I like how PES handles the AI play, passing game in the back when it needs to, doesnt fush forward as often as Fifa AI (even with fidels file) but its a bit strange for some reason, the players are... i dunno .. floaty, the movement is weird

@Bonaldo: yes, of course . The PC version has the same gameplay as the PS4 version, but the graphics are downgraded because computers can't handle next gen gaming yet. One day though, we'll manage to catch up with consoles' insane horsepower!

i started my career. i created a noob, i played 3 matches. normal difficulty.
i won first match 5:1 scored and assisted. i was disappointed to see other results like 6:5, 8:3 etc. but i thought that was only a coincidence. 2nd match i won 7:2 and other scores were similar. after third match i resigned and uninstalled this game. there is no realism in it. well, some actions are more realistic than in fifa, but overall its arcade crap with minimum simulation in it.
The only football simulation atm is Football Manager. im not greedy, but i only want to experience a true football life. Japs cant provide it.

Official source or gtfo.
Don't come with a response "I've tried both versions and it's not the same".

@fearwhatnow : play both and you will see it, so stfu! it was even mentioned in some reviews which compared pc with ps4 version. heck even the konami guy said "almost" everything (excluding the gfx) is the same on all plattforms, but almost is not everything!
@Neo_McKane : its not a bug, its a feature. no way to get rid of it, its not as bad as the last years but still noticable for me

Oh, well that would be a shame. Haven't played the PS4 version for the obvious reasons so I was resorting to Evo-Web community's comments, which claim that the gameplay/AI are fundamentally the same. Perhaps Konami were referring to game modes and features? Who knows..I'll never know the truth. The only thing that I know is that I like the game a lot (surprisingly if I may add).
As for the lag, I 100% solved it by disabling vertical sync from the Nvidia control panel. There's tearing but at least the annoying delay is gone. A good trade off for me

Ah, you beat me to it! |
In case you guys want to play online, only from the pirate seas, there's also the Revolt package 1.01, that I applied over the update. Requires a Steam account running on the background (I use a dummy one), but works, with automatic updates, roster upgrades and so on.
If it wasn't for the occasional lag that affects Konami's servers, it would be pretty polished too (it has an in-game chat, regional lobbies for friendlies...EA are you listening.)
