Yup, no Mantle here. Bah. I guess I'll just have to shelve it until BiowarEA pull their fingers out their asses and stop being lazy crooks.
~edit~
Someone recommended running in windowed mode to solve the drops to desktop. I tried out Borderless Windowed and it *seems* to be more stable. Can't really tell for sure yet.

@sabin1981
If you have overlays running (origin, afterburner or it's alternatives etc) you could try disabling them . It might help.
1) Lenovo Legion 7 (AMD Ryzen 7 5800H, RTX 3080 16Gb, 32Gb DDR4, SSD 1TB +2TB
2) SFFPC (streaming via Moonlight+ Sunshine)

This game is so clearly designed to be 30fps it's almost laughable. Cutscenes still animate to 30fps, even with the override startup options, yet using those same options to lock it to 30fps means I can play it on my rig at maximum detail, at 1080p, with zero issues (if you can accept 30fps as not an issue)...
As heathenic as it might be, I will play this locked to 30fps, as I just can't be done with the stuttering and shite otherwise.

The Haven... um.. event was freakin' epic and then "The Dawn Will Come" song was pretty damned stirring, I have to say. It seems the game really does get better as you go on. Playing FS Windowed *seems* to have fixed the random crashes, at least I've gone from having them every few minutes (if even that) to not having a single drop in 3 hours.
@Kaltern
Yup, it's more than obvious this is a game that has targeted 30fps from inception. Draw your own conclusions as to why, but the end result remains the same.

The song was nice, but I laughed at the robotic looking movements and facial animations of the characters in what was supposed to be an emotional scene. Not as cringey as Leliana singing in the first game though.

We need more developers to adapt MotionScan. We already have facial capture but nothing has done it better than MotionScan yet, we need that in more games.

That's obvious... it's because 30fps is the best way to experience a cinematic game. Well 24fps would be of course, but that's quite difficult to achieve on a 60Hz monitor....
It has nothing whatsoever to do with the fact that consoles need tro run at 30fps because otherwise it becomes an unplayable mess, and that the PC version is just a lazy port of the ONE version, explaining all the issues... no, not at all.
Cinematic. Because EA knows best.

I gotta admit i thought that whole section was underwhelming, especially the protagonist voice over when he meets the big bad and he's just casually what do you want?
Mass effect gave me shivers at points, especially the ending to number 1. this one just seems close but not quite there on the delivery

Which means they havn't really "cracked" (reversed) denuvo, they just mad a ad-hoc workaround which is both os-dependent and cpu-dependent.
Say what you want about how shit today's "scene" is compared to p2p groups, but that is not a proper crack. Not that people care, they just want to play for free I guess.

The "Scene omglolz" do the same thing. Almost every Steam game released by RLD or SR features a steam_api.dll Steam emulator/bypass/workaround. It's very rare to actually see any cracking done unless it's CEG/CPUID, which is now just stripped with a single tool available to everyone.
