The other week came a report that the filmmakers behind the upcoming next entry in the James Bond franchise were seeking an actor to play a henchman named Hinx.

Specifically the plan was to deliver an iconic Bond villain henchman along the lines of Jaw, Oddjob and Red Grant. The character would have several fights with Daniel Craig's James Bond and so they were looking for someone tall, physically imposing, with stunt training expertise and potentially a sports background

Now, Latino Review claims they have found him. He's someone who matches the criteria and who also just happened to star in the year's biggest film - Dave Bautista.

Bautista, who often stole the show as Drax The Destroyer in Marvel's "Guardians Of The Galaxy," does seem like a good fit. Still no word on who is playing the lead villain in the film which begins shooting on December 6th in London, Austria, Rome and potentially Morocco.

Though not confirmed at this time, British columnist Baz Bamigboye reports that "Django Unchained" and "Horrible Bosses 2" star Christoph Waltz has signed on to play the main villain in the upcoming twenty-fourth James Bond film at Sony Pictures.

Sam Mendes is helming the project which has Daniel Craig set to return as Bond himself. Also returning from "Skyfall" are Ralph Fiennes as M, Naomie Harris as Miss Moneypenny and Ben Whishaw as Q.

Lea Seydoux ("Mission Impossible Ghost Protocol") is set to appear in the film, whilst Dave Bautista ("Guardians of the Galaxy") is rumored to be playing the villainous henchmen Jinx.

It has also been rumored that the character of Blofeld and the organization of S.P.E.C.T.R.E. may return to the franchise after Sony won back the rights a year ago. Could Waltz be the new Blofeld?

Filming is slated to begin in early December in Mexico, Morocco, Austria, Italy and London.

Seems to have all cast names, no Blofeld mentioned there. Perhaps just a 2-3 second shot again, who knows Smile

Me Gusta

"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."

I guess there is no Blofeld in the credits because it will be made like Skyfall - when we learned that the black chick is Moneypenny at the end. I guess it will be the same with Blofeld.

Great to hear about Mr White and the great cast. And of course - the director.

God, the people at Sony REALLY hate Adam Sandler. Laughing

Why did they bother to darken Christoph Waltz' face, when it is known he is a main villain?

Probably for the same reason they darkened Ben Kingsley's face in the trailer for Iron Man 3 Cool Face

It looks good, but that doesn't say much (yet), because Skyfall looked good too and ended up disappointing me with the silly writing. One thing is for sure though, Waltz is going to be a better villain than Albino Bardem Silva xD

We'll see, I expect nothing anymore from Team Bond, there hasn't seen a decent one after Casino Royale. Let's hope for the best.
