It's a retarded move no matter which company performs it, as far as I'm concerned.
As far as tournaments go, I don't think it really matters which console is used. X360 had a lead on the market for a large part of the last generation, so that may be why it was used by most as the main platform. It also had a technical advantage in multiplatform games. But things changed now, Sony has the most popular and most powerful current gen console and I don't think many people are going to stick with Xbox just out of nostalgia.
The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.
Yup, absolute confirmation of PS4 exclusivity.. no XBONE. The tears are going to be outrageous I love the DoA-esque dynamic stages, that's an awesome addition and it reminds me of the, frankly magnificent, Marvel Super Heroes and Xmen vs Street Fighter. The best one though;

How will the walls breaking affect corner control...that's a big part of the game at a high level, and a big part of my game as I play bison. that will destroy the point of having people in corners.
it's exciting though, i just worry they dont think about the balance of top level play, and only focus on the highlight cool looking mechanics.
Well the stages won't have infinite spanning, so I guess you could break a wall into the next section and then the stage alters into something different, but with no additional breakages. Much like breaking the floor in MSH/XvSF.
Holy fucking shit. There are single outing xbone? damn these are the days haha.
Calling it now: A year or two later they'll be ready to release Super SFV and Microsoft will pay for it to stay exclusive to their platform and no this time a PC version won't be made.
TWIN PEAKS is "something of a miracle."
"...like nothing else on television."
"a phenomenon."
"A tangled tale of sex, violence, power, junk food..."
"Like Nothing On Earth"
Well, USSF IV is probably the most complete Street Fighter experience, so who gives a damn.
yeah, but its exciting, only happens every decade or so, and SF is the best fighting game there is at the highest level of play. so its a very big deal.
I think the exclusivity was SOLELY down to capcom DESPERATELY needing financial help to make the new game possible.
They are simply broke, and they probably approached both MS and Sony to ask if they would be interested in partnering to help make the game a reality. and sony we probably the only ones, or the first ones to say yes.
It's great news, will make for a better, more fully featured and polished game. Sony get a lot of points for me for putting it on pc too. as its clear since they are helping fund it, they could have simply denied that.

They are changing A LOT of things, the game will be different, at least to SF4. There's parry, guard break, no focus, they've changed how ex bars work, no ultras. I just don't think you should expect corner pressure to be the same anymore. It's a different game.

Every SF is different, Corner pressure is universal to the series though, and one of the most important aspects of high level play, if a wall break means not only you giving up a corner, but cornering yourself, I cant see how it will be a good feature.
But Ill have faith, and you are right, its a different game, looking forward to Capcom Cup to see more (also that tournament has the best lineup of player since Evo.
Stages aren't infinitely scrolling. Just like the aforementioned examples, you'll likely break through into a single area and the fight continues there. You won't keep on breaking through walls into new areas in a single fight
They simply couldn't make it infinite, loading that many stages at once would be counterproductive. Much like DoA3/4/5 and MSH/XvSF, they'll be one stage that breaks into another one.
