I only pre-order did not play/ download anything, even asked for the refund within 10 days of purchase... still getting the "personal" treatment.

Just got my email from support earlier this morning. They tried the same thing, asking me to reconsider. I flat out told them that my ISP is flaky and I get disconnected more often than I should. I put in tickets and issues just magically go away without them calling me back. Disconnect happened again last night while playing FC4 with a friend right before we wiped out a tough outpost.

Read an interview with Braben this weekend that seemed to suggest it was always meant to be designed as a multiplayer game.
Still, I have high hopes for this one.

It seems like Braben's turning into a bigger scumbag by every day. Needless to say I am gladwas skeptical at the launch of the kickstarter. These 'last minute' shitlord moves are certainly not helping in making me choose elite dangerous instead of Star shillizen.

I don't have a problem with there being no wipe at release... but I DO have a problem with there not being a wipe now we KNOW there isn't one at release.

They should have made the decision of wipe/no wipe at the start of the gamma.
I would have played the game if they said there would be no wipe.
It is that the game is fun because of the oculus, without it i would have regretted the buy.

I should have never stopped playing Gamma 1.0 - I was pulling in an easy (one jump) 1400 cr x 24 units of gold in my hauler, which was around 33k a run. I got back into the game yesterday, that same profit yield is now 200 cr per unit - absolutely not worth it. Come to think of it, everywhere I went the profit yield on gold was more or less ~200 cr, within 100ly of where I started anyway.
Humped over to Sol, it's no more special than the rest of the galaxy. Shit missions, shit trade. Outfitted a Viper and camped a Nav beacon for bounties. After about 40 minutes I pulled in 26k when all was said and done. On quite a few occasions I spent more on multi-cannon ammo to kill the guy than his bounty was worth! 
It's painful turning a profit now. 
I can never be free, because the shackles I wear can't be touched or be seen.

Sad, but true. The thing is, Elite doesn't have the vibrant and alive environment Freelancer does, so without people, it'd be completely devoid, dead, and empty of anything. It's funny though, in playing about 10 hours I have yet to run across a single person in open play, not even on the scanners.
I've got half a mind to just jump 1000 ly or so in any direction, get in the middle of fucking nowhere, and try trading there. I have my doubts about the validity of their "economic simulation" though.
