I've gotten level 21 weapons, so they do go beyond character max levels. Those actually dropped in the lowest difficulty maps as well so you don't have to be on higher difficulties to get good stuff. Higher difficulty does pay more gold per enemies and in loot chests though.

Remember to buy loot boxes with your gold. I've had more luck with the big type of chest, so I usually save up for those.

You can only respec your character once you get to 20, that's when you can reset it for a permanent attribute boost to all your characters and start fresh.

Oh, and for example if you have 1 good 1h sword in your inventory and equip it with the dwarf warrior, you can still equip that same sword for the templar without having to unequip it on the dwarf. Same goes for shields and accessories as well. What I mean to say is that characters don't occupy items, which is good. If there are more classes coming down the road you won't have to unequip to play your other similar class.

I haven't got any luck so far with the boxes. Buying them like there's no tomorrow hehe. Mr. Green

Oh and, i guess i still have to keep up with routine level in multiplayer untill i found some nice gear to advance to the next level requirement (forgot the name of it)? Same concept as gearing up in world of warcraft for example?

This game got me totally hooked. I haven't played such a good game like this one in a very very very very long time.

Thanks for explaining the rest, really helpfull

Pretty much. Look at that video of the guy farming tier 3 schematics a few pages back. Every time you re-enter the level, the loot is newly randomised, as long as you leave at least one item inside.

What happens if you take ALL the items? The chest is permanently gone?

Yeah, once a chest is completely looted, it gets permanently flagged as empty. As long as you leave at least one item in it, it will respawn every time the level is reloaded. It works for chests with static loot too, like the one next to Cole in Skyhold with an Amulet of Power and the two with Fade-Touched Obsidian in the Hinterlands, allowing for unlimited looting of those. Presumably this is unintended behaviour, and I imagine they will patch it eventually so it gets flagged as looted when first opened instead.

Well that's... fucking stupid Poker Face

Unless you can also get any item present on a chest from a monster loot or a store that is.

I haven't played it since before the patch. Was waiting for the hotfix, which dropped today. I have one of those Fade-Touched Obsidian chests in the Hinterlands I can check to see if it was patched.

It worked yesterday. At least with chests. Loot was randomized every time I reloaded my save .

I think it should stay this way if they insist on having such a loot system that generates crappy white items in treasure rooms that require a certain inquisitor perk.

However, infinite looting of chests probably should get fixed.

PS I've just checked some chest in Emprise du Lion and infinite looting works.

I should have made use of that, something for the next playthrough although this little glitch will probably be fixed in the next big patch.

That said I think you can still get a majority of the items although it might require finding every chest in the game before you have all schematics.

That and the traders restock frequently so you can usually buy anything you miss, this even goes for codex entries from areas you can't return too.
(Unsure how merchants actually work, they seem to restock inventory every time I revisit the area although it's usually only with a few new items or at times only one new item although of very high quality although finishing story related quests and other major events like taking over the various region keeps seem to make them provide more wares.)

I guess the level range of a region is also important so Emprise du Lion being I think the most difficult area in the game (Level 19 to level 27 enemies which is also the level cap.) has the best loot chests.
(Tier 3 materials and schematics, although for dragon parts I don't think you can farm bones, webbing, teeth - though there is a better mastercraft material - and scales but you do get a lot for every dragon so it should be possible to outfit the entire team with dragon equipment though it's probably best saved for tier 3 rare armor and weapon schematics.)

As long as you split the party across rogue/warrior/mage classes, there should be enough to make something for everyone. If needs be you can always take a minor hit in stats for a different material. For instance I prefer silverite for a mage's staff because it gives ice damage, vs fire damage for dragonbone, even though that results in a lower DPS rating. Plus in a lot of cases other materials are better for utility slots anyway, unless you are trying to stack fire resistance for some reason.

Yeah I noticed the dragon parts tend to favor fire resistance, plus silverite I believe can remove the class restriction on crafted equipment which might be useful for getting some heavy armor on rogues or mages perhaps, actually I should try it on the dragon armor since you get a superior schematic of it eventually.
(Or actually I think it was only for armor so you can't make mages wield greatswords or give warriors ranged weapons.)

For now I'm trying to find this helmet schematic if it still exists.
http://www.ag.ru/games/dragon-age-inquisition/screenshots/485228
(I have a couple of rogue themed helmets but nothing for mages - aside from a really silly inquisition hat and it's superior version - and only some Orlesian style lion head for warriors.)

(Wouldn't mind finding some actual plate mail either, only have some Dalish version and of course the weird trench coat scale armor "thing".)

I'm fairly sure Frostbite will struggle a bit on dual core compared to quad, clock speeds will also help greatly and your GPU might be limited by the CPU as well in some conditions.

Ah the "iconic" helmet they used in all the trailers. Didn't they steal it from Skyrim? I always thought it looked stupid myself. I don't remember running across any schematic for it. Possibly it's a unique drop with no schematic.

Yeah that annoyed the hell out of me my first playthrough. Playing a dwarven warrior and 90% of the game I was basically wearing a leather jacket or some sort of cloth-looking number. The best looking gear, like Grey Warden stuff, the dwarf-only Legion of the Dead armour, chevalier plate, etc. doesn't allow leg/arm addons, so will always be inferior to the other schematics. Fucking stupid. Hell even the mage gear looks more heavily armoured than the warrior stuff - http://i.imgur.com/mC0NfgU.jpg

Update 2: We have implemented a hotfix for Patch 2 on PC to address graphical issues our players have been experiencing. This fix ensures that the graphics settings are working correctly for everyone; however, players who are using lower graphics settings will notice changes to the visuals they are used to.

EDIT: Looks like this was already posted, whoops. Very Happy

Shocked

So THAT is why my Rogue can suddenly wear one of the crafted Heavy Armour sets?! I thought it was a glitch that she could wear that Very Happy I'm still using my great Rogue gear regardless, but still, it's nice to know WHY something happened.. hehe, thanks JB!

That schematic is pretty random, some never came across one, I got lucky and find it in Exalted Plains in the elven burial ground pretty early on. But you can find the actual Helmet as a purple unique item, it is a predetermined drop from the Greater Mistral dragon in Emerald Graves.

EDIT: And class restriction can be removed by three materials, each for one class. Silverite for heavy armors, Snoufleur Skin for medium armor and Dales Loden Wool for light armors.

Ahhhhh yeah i had the same problem here. Crafted myself a nice armor for my main mage and made another for my other mage when i noticed one was only for warriors
Sad

Btw anyone else noticed that the astrariums are sometimes buggy. I had multiple ones i did correctly but it didnt count? I really lost my nerves on the north one in storm coast. Completed it multiple times on different ways to find out it wasn't correct somehow.

So I put 12 hours in it so far....

I kinda like it... The political intrigue is pretty good, though I'm just at the beginning... Comat sucks though, DAO was miles ahead with the spell variations and everything.

I...might buy it.....

now that you have access to at least friend's account it's easy...just use offline mode and play for free. You don't have to buy it (unless you want to, of course). Also firewall game's and origin executable just to make sure it won't try to connect in offline mode.
