This. Log in, download, go offline, firewall origin.exe/dragonageinquisition.exe and there's no problem. You could give your friend back his account details and you could still play just fine.

For those of us about to cave in, what's the cheapest vendor available? Any Russian deals for this one?

They're Russian. Their natural inclination is always to roll the tanks in at the first sign of commotion.

Been running with iron bull (2h), blackwall (sword and shield), and Cole (daggers) and me being a mage with mostly fire and lightning skills. Around lvl 12 or so and unfortunately looks like I got the no banter bug. Been hours since my party members have made a peep.

Have you tried the travel from the war table trick to fix it? Go to the war table, click on a location you have unlocked (the little pyramids) choose travel button down the bottom. Apparently some people have found that fixes broken music and banter, although not permanently - you need to travel to every place that way.

I have to be honest - I'm only 13 hours in and I'm getting bored. The open worlds are pretty boring. As much as I love crafting, trudging around an empty desert to pick up plants is not my idea of fun. Combat is starting to get dull too because you basically just run through all your skills in order because of the damn cool down time.
The cool down times are poorly done and are typical of how NOT to do it. In combat you should be able to use skills according to the situation. In DA:I, however, most of the time your skills are greyed out. If you use it, it takes a while before you can use it again. This is silly because it means combat is centered around cooldown instead of around mana as it should be. There's FUCK ALL mana/stamina management in this game. Not ONCE have I ever run out of mana or stamina because the cool downs take so freaking long.

As a Rogue I regularly run out of stamina, cooldown times are pretty short.
