The combat becomes much better (it's still not great) on Hard/Nightmare AFTER you get specializations.

And concerning the openworld stuff - do as much of it as you want. You only need a litte bit of it to get some power. I think if you just do story missions+companion quests + some of the better sidequests - you can beat the game in around 15-20 hours.

Indeed.

They are there to get power (to stretch out time between story missions)/loot(for crafting)/satisfy your ocd (i only managed to kill the dragons).

The shard quest was what did it for me. I opened 2 doors. Checked the reward online - realized how underwhelming it is and just said fuck it.

I also loved how the best unique bow ( the three shot one) is in basically the last dungeon of the game so you have no chance to use it properly unless you delay killing dragons or something.

Don't worry, you'll have time to use it in the upcoming DLC. Laughing Laughing Laughing

I got 215+ power left and it looks like I opened almost all locations that require power to get unlocked except for last 5 main story missions) I haven't explored the Hissing Wastes (it's size is RIDICULOUS although the area itself is kinda empty ,but, hey, they tell you about this in the game) and I still need to kill dragons in Emprise du lion.

Actually, I haven't played for 2 days or so at all coz I feel kinda exhausted tbh lol the thing is I don't like leaving stuff undone even it's just filler quests, so I tend to do everything and this game has got a shitload of "quests" like this Very Happy

Whoever designed this UI, the crafting thing in particular, is a huge fucking asshole. Fuck you, you fucking dipshit. How hard can it be to design a proper fucking UI? Fuck.

Great game, but the consoley things are pissing me off. I'm not a designer, but I just can't understand how hard it seems to create two different UIs that suit both systems.

It is obvious that they cut A LOT of stuff even after 4 years of development. The whole Keep mechanic is completely removed - wasn't there a video where they said you could choose a spec for your Keeps and that would affect the world? Wasn't there a video with some timed choice scenario ala Awakening where you could either save the village or the Keep? Wasn't there going to be some impact from upgrading Skyhold?

It feels that many things that would make the world more alive and reactive were removed. A large portion of the endgame seems missing as well because all your companions act as if they were present during the last battle.

Meh.

So I finally was able to put myself through it and play the damn game. Previously I was only able to get to the Hinterlands and just quit because "collect bear asses". Now I'm 20 hours in. The game is definitely good. Mainly because the story missions have been great, the companions are good, it made me feel attached to my Inquisitor and his interactions with the (some) companions.

Dorian is the best so far, he's the Alistar for me in this game. Sera is great because my Inquisitor had an argument with her, which really adds to the emotional side of things. My character / I feels attached to Solas because of his knowledge and abilities. Cassandra although predictable, is well fleshed out. Leiliana is the one that really struck me so far, I love what they did with her, and I also hate them for putting her through hell again, yet from out of character, I'm glad they did. Haven't really talked to the rest.

Combat is meh at best. 2 hand Warrior is what I'm playing and its fun as an action game. Playing as a Mage without specializations is boring as shit. Haven't tried Rogue. I don't ever use the tactical camera, nor the tactical pausing. I just play it as an action RPG, like Risen, Witcher, and ME. And its fine. But I really don't like the lack of interesting abilities for Mages. That is a huge negative for me since I always play Mage when I can.

Then there's the open world. Honestly it is fine. On one hand I don't want them to go back to the way Origin was, yet I can't say I like the open world. The only location that I like the look of so far, is the forest, and to a certain extent the coast. The rest is very generic. The lack of boss enemies in the world also hurts it. The Rfits are always the same, bandits are bandits, beast are beast. Dragons are too limited in numbers. I want to see some more harder "rare" fights. And if you do open world fantasy, it needs dungeons with a end boss + sweet loot. I haven't seen any so far. "Dungeons" in this game are just small caves with trash and trash loot.

Overall so far I still enjoy it. Ultimately this is TOR but with the benefits of being a offline single player game. I can see myself finishing it and playing it through one more time.

I've just tried multiplayer for the first time and oh boy, does it suck or what lol

Tbh I'd rather explore the vast world of the "original" game and it's filler quests in co-op (if it was available that is)than play this turd they call multiplayer. Laughing

PS whaaat.. there are only 3 maps available for multiplayer? Reaction 4 ability slots instead of 8 ahaha.. Okay

theres a few mission with only involve killing everything. Five short parts (or zones) to a mission and the last zone involves you and team mates placing down your inquisition banner whereupon you have to kill the swarm of enemies which include a boss that attack you. Once you do that it's mission complete, then you upgrade characters, buy potions or what have you then pick another mission. It's a joke to call them missions as they are all the same. Only difference being the location you fight at. It's shit and really basic actually.

I used allegro mobile app, they have a coupon that gets you 20 PLN off of your purchase if you use their app. Very Happy Only one-time use though, but they had two coupons like that so far since their updated app released.
