Does Origin automatically update the installed games (I haven't touched any settings within the program)? My DA: I is at 1.0.0.3 right now (at least that's what Programs and Features of Windows reports). Is this the latest version?

Yup!..Mine is also at 1.0.0.3

I don't think it's that, I'm using AMD FX and doesn't launch, no error no nothing, it's frustrating.

might be missing files, might be some DEP, might be bad files (lot of "releases" floating around has corrupted files), might be Win8's file ownership thing on system drive or that read-only parameter on files, ....

Odd...
I've tried everything from re-installing prerequisites, to turning off every security software I have installed, but nothing helped.
I'm re-installing to a different drive and giving it another try.

I couldnt make it run on 8.1, I was thinking nothing was happening but the game exe actually appeared in manager for a second and in even viewer I had application errors after each launch. I installed everything from Installer then vc folder, restarted windows and bam the game is now working on 8.1 also.
i5 6600 + Silentiumpc Spartan Pro, Asus H170-plus mobo, HyperX 16 GB DDR4 2133MHz, Asus GTX 970 Strix OC, 1TB Seagate Barracuda, BeQuiet L8 500W, Zalman Z9 case, crap monitor

theres a v2 crack out form 3DM..
anyone know how to get it?
i tried it in teh 3dm forum, but chinese aint my language, lol.. cant find shit there... also, dat forum structure..wahhhh

So i played few hours and i don't see whats all the fuss about that game. Its far away from GOTY. Both Divinity and Wasteland 2 are twice better that this.... (IMO)

On win8 64bit, on my win7 64bit machine (2500k with HD6870), the first thing i get is a popup window about the crack and after that it runs the game..
So i'm guessing it's that popup window that's preventing it?
