One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3 will launch in western regions in summer 2015 on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita and PC via Steam, Bandai Namco Games America announced today.
The latest Koei Tecmo Games collaboration inserts One Piece characters into the Dynasty Warriors hack-and-slash gameplay. It centers on the original One Piece storyline, beginning at Fushia Village where protagonist Luffy first embarks to realize his dream of becoming the Pirate King. Players have the opportunity to recruit every member of the Straw Hat Crew, including Fujitora, Trafalgar Law and Sabo.
One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3 features known One Piece locations such as Marineford, Fishman Island, and Punk Hazard, as well as the kingdom of Dressrosa, an island dominated by the tyrant Donquixote Doflamingo aka the “Heavenly Demon.”
“The worldwide popularity of One Piece continues to grow due to the franchise’s fantastic action, storytelling, and character development,” Chris Gilbert, senior vice president of sales and marketing at Bandai Namco Games America, said in a prepared statement. “One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3’s magical blend of hijinks and humor with Dynasty Warriors’ frenetic gameplay style has produced a truly satisfying experience that One Piece fans will surely look forward to enjoying in the summer of 2015.”

"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."

Also Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 has a [PC] platform tag so it might come to PC as well unless it's already officially confirmed.

(Someone sure does love the increased particle effects made possible by the XBO and PS4 hardware, ha ha.)
It's a musou game based on a shonen show/manga i doubt it matters which part you play, and i see stages from early to late arcs of the show/manga in the screens.
I'd rather have the more classical series, like Warriors Orochii, Dynasty Warriors or Samurai Warriors, plus some more Romance of Three Kingdoms...But that's just me...
It's funny how they use semi-actual costumes in ol' sagas...NOT FITTING CORRECTLY.
Stilll...I always like to say this, jap way:
Luffy: "NAMIIIIIIIIIII!!!..YOU'RE THE ONE BIIIIIIIIITCH!!!"

You could have said 'blibidiblob woobla' and it would have made as much sense to me than that first part you said.
It's based on the anime / manga version of this (I think shounen is the category for younger men, there's also one for older men and of course also for women.) and the musou part is that it's similar in style to Dynasty Warriors.
(Multiple extremely powerful hero characters to choose from facing armies of weaker fodder enemies - and stronger captains plus of course enemy heroes. - while completing various missions or stage objectives with spectacular boss fights or something like that.)

I would say I know the very basics so there's probably a lot I don't know either and there's also some variety in how these computer or console games execute the "Musou" (Conquest?) concept such as Naruto using more QTE events during fights and the scope or scale can vary a bit from capturing full countries to just completing chapters/levels.
With a anime show like this which has run for several years (And probably have even more manga chapters/arcs available.) they probably have several story arcs available to mix things up a bit with a similarly diverse cast of playable characters and enemy "bosses".
I have not watched One Piece myself, Berserk was more my thing (But the anime series only cover the first arc I believe and the movies are mostly recaps of those events.) and with One Piece there's something like 200 episodes alone just for the anime show plus probably several stand alone movies too.
(Still waiting for Berserk to be fully translated come to think of it, progress tends to be slow on these projects and I believe the manga has run since the mid-1980's so there's a lot of it too with multiple scanlator / translator groups having worked on it, but I guess this is true for many of the larger anime or manga releases.)
I've read all 330-ish chapters of Berserk on a huge binge, and then I realized that 19 pages chapters come out every 6 months at best The last one got scanlated in March 2014... Along with Evangelion, it's definitely my favourite manga ever.
You've got good tastes sir Beckman !
On topic: Meh, all those anime fightning games are all very similar, you play one, you've played them all. The main perk is that character models are mostly well-done, but the gameplay is often lacking in both variety and difficulty ( not an artificial one, as in you start with 5% HP against 10 foes ).
This looks like the same old Wii game with enhanced graphics - I don't have much expectations for this, it might be fun to play with the youngsters though

@JBeckman well Naruto igames same as upcoming DragonBall one are more of a fighting game than "musou" aka DW/ One Piiece. As Naruto manga/anime is mostly 1v1 or 3v3, unlike OP when there is a lot of foddes along with the main enemy

I don't get it. Some of the scenes in that trailer happened more or less in the beginning of the anime, and some pretty late. Do they just scramble everything to make some cool battle scenes/sequences nonstop? i'm pretty sure by that trailer that they don't follow any chronological order whatsoever.
have you ever seen a single trailer in your life before? There are movie trailers that show the ending and you are complaining that trailer isn't in order, that's how 90% of decent movie trailers are, all over the place to keep you interested but without revealing full plot
Have you ever seen One Piece before? It's a mountain of an anime, and a game could hardly cover what i saw chronologically, and also because then i wounder what the fuck the first two games were about.
