Monolith revealed the first full expansion for its game: called Lord of the Hunt.
Due out later this year, and part of the game's $25 season pass, Lord of the Hunt introduces the new Beastmaster Warchief into the game. From a press release, "Talion will join Torvin the Dwarven Hunter and use his powers of Domination to turn these menacing new beasts against the Warchiefs, proving that Mordor cannot be tamed."
According to the press release, the expansion will bring "hours of new gameplay" and will introduce:
New Story & Lore -- Discover more tales from Torvin, the Dwarven Hunter, as you work together to tame the beasts of Mordor and fight Sauron’s minions.
New Missions & Challenges -- New Beast Hunting challenges and collectibles open up new trophies and achievements.
New Nemeses -- Face off against the Beastmaster Warchiefs, powerful new Uruks who have the ability to ride monsters and engage in perilous mounted combat.
New Monsters -- Ride into battle on the Wretched Graug to vomit toxin at your foes, stalk your enemies on the predatory Caragath and attack from the shadows or raise an all-consuming Ghul Horde.
New Epic Runes -- Make your Mount unstoppable with five new epic Runes that make you the ultimate hunter.
Test of the Wild -- Test your skills against the Beastmasters and mount your trophies on the leaderboard.
New Character Skin -- Lord of the Hunt skin transform Talion into the ultimate Beastmaster.
They call this "expansion"? collectibles, new items, some stupid boring "missions" etc
Damn.. Well.. we are at fault for letting developers get away with this dlc crap..and I guess there is no turning back now...
I miss the good old days of proper expansion packs..
This is extremely economical, no new maps to design and they can use some deleted audio and artwork that probably didnt make it in the final game.
Then let the less qualified developers make the content with their Ubi-style mission editors and voila you've got your season pass dlc.
Really... DLC already... actually, why does it even fucking need to have DLC?! Can't a game just be done with when it's released and patched to a good state?! This world... I haven't even played the main game, just for a bit. It's ok, I guess, but I don't actually feel like playing it anymore... already. It's just... I feel like I've played this before apart from the whole Nemesis thing. And that's the thing, besides what that system is, there's nothing but... killing orcs, over and over and over again. These big popular titles make me tired and bored.
So...is there a hardmode one can enable to make the captains/warchiefs tougher? If not, is there anyway to make them level up quickly? Besides advance time, that shit progresses at one lvl at a time -_-
Currently went on a hunting spree and managed to take down nearly all the captains and warchiefs in the army, with the highest lvl one being a lvl 17 Warchief. I really want to face a max lvl 20 dude.
Now the ones that are coming in to replace them are fucking level 3-5 which is laughable with my current tier unlocks. Besides sending a death threat, any way to spawn high level captains/warchiefs?
Also it kind of blows how I unlocked all the tiers already. There's only 3? I'm only 11 missions in.
Is it even possible to dominate an entire army?
I have turned all Orcs in both armies but there is always one dead guy who never gets replaced no matter how often I advance the time.

yes, make sure you have Layer22_DLC_BlackHand.arch05 in your install directory and then open codex.ini or ALI213.ini and see that the DLC with Steam id 322060 is added/enabled.

4 of the 6 skins should work atm. if you enable the unreleased (Lord of the Hunt and Bright Lord) none will show up
there are also some repetitive assassination dlc missions that aren't enabled in all versions, 5 red icons on the first map

you can actually add all appid's except lord of the hunt and bright lord as that dlc's require additional game files (not the 1 kb useless files)
Those two will be the main part of SP.

That beast riding enemy should have already been in the game! I think it'd be cool to fight against that, and would add some more variety to the enemy roster. Instead, I'll have probably stopped playing the game by the time this comes out.

Uh...you can say that about any game in history ever. Do X until Y. Thankfully this game has a shitload of other ways to attack, such as daggers, shadow strike, grab, mounted, vault stun, etc.
Don't know why you're being pessimistic as fuck, sounds like you need some time off from gaming. Mounted warchiefs sound awesome.
