rear ended. It happened so fast. One of those short merges onto the hwy, 99. In between whistler creek and the village. Traffic limit is 60.

It was snowing hard and we coasted up and stopped (it's the stopping kind) we were going to go but another truck came up around the corner and hill probably going 70km so we stopped.

Woman in Mini Cooper slams into the back of us. We are in. Truck.. Wrecked the bumper.

I am in pain now, saw doctor, can't sleep, it throbs after 2 hrs and I wake up. I've used up 3 sick days, went in Christmas Eve. Yesterday, I live by myself I bought groceries and moved my neck the wrong way with a heavy load. It's just hell today and on top of it all I caught a cold, my throat is killing me, and it hurts to cough. I am getting bad heart burn from the anti inflameTories Fucking ipad..

Switching to dictation. I'm going to throw this thing.

I can't do any more time off now, I've used up my sick days, I am going to have to take a sick leave I think and I feel like such a looser. I sick leave I get paid.

I am soo angry at this woman right now. How The fuck do you not see a truck in front of you. She said she had her head turned. She was trying to get in ahead of the truck that we stopped for.. What was she thinking? She would've broad sided of the truck. She was doing for disaster no matter what.

Ranting...grrrr. I want to punch her. Apparently she does this often according to her husband. UnFortunately, he said he has been through this many times.

That sounds like a stroke of real bad luck. Just dont blame yourself for it and accept that you have to recover. What happened happened, I imagine alot worse could have happened in that situation! Now get as much rest as you can.

Also, get some good book to read!

"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."

I believe their car stopped in the accelerating lane to let a fast truck pass before they merge onto the highway, and a mini cooper comming behind them to merge too rear ended them.

That sucks, but it was only a small crash, will probably be easy to fix the truck (and I imagine the woman will pay for it).

Get some rest, hot tea, books and movies, everything will be alright Smile

Luckily there was no major damage. Just try to rest, and don't fuss that much about it. And get well soon ^^

Get better soon Pistol, it really sucks..silly, silly people. Always absent-minded when driving, it's happened to me too in the past (got "humped" a couple of times), fortunately without serious consequences.
Anger is normal. Hopefully everything will improve, take care Razz. If I were the husband though, I'd make her wear the cone of shame for a week, until she learns to look-ahead properly xD

Yes. Its not really an accelerating lane. Its a small town but it gets pretty busy jn ski season. . we were completely in the right. it was snowing heavy too so you give extra room.

It really is just rotten luck. It kills me just to wash my hair. The lack of proper sleep has run me down and now I've caught a cold on top og it all and lost my voice.

Back up there now with the boyfriend. we are both a pretty sad pair atm. Im on my data plan. the people next door have their wifi.off, and I piggyback off them when they turn it on. it is a great curiosity as to why they turn it off at night and other times. im not asking, cuz they dont know i.know their passpord.

Can't you make a claim on the insurance? Whiplash and other injuries, loss of earnings, psychological distress etc... lol. I would.

Not only that, with whiplash you have to do it ASAP because if you wait too long not only won't you get the proper help but also the insurance company will tell you to fuck off (this is speaking from personal experience). My mom was in that type of car accident and she didn't think much of it because she felt fine, almost two full years later the injuries set in and it was a nightmare.
So do all that as soon as possible, not just to get money but to cover your own ass just in case.

I had whiplash pain in my neck for a couple of weeks after my (basically) only accident. Some idiot crashed in the back of my car as I was waiting for the traffic ahead to move. I had to sue him to cover my expenses, he paid only 70% of what the judge ordered him to and then disappeared. And he had money...
Anyway, I saw a doctor for the pain, he said "if you didn't throw up or pass out in the first 24h you'll be fine, here's some tylenol.". He was right, I guess. (this was 7 years ago)

A lawsuit is often more trouble than it's worth, at least here. In the US the money is much bigger, so I guess it's worth it. Canadia I'm not sure...

I have a claim number. Went to see the doctor 2 days after. I'm seeing him tomorrow again. I have some physio but haven't started yet. but it's been hard with working, and the holidays, New Years closed. Tomorrow is a busy day for me. Im also going to start swimming but when it's not so bad and after I talk to the doctor more.

I am going after something but whatever I get wont be much. It is meant to compensate you, it's not a windfall. The lawyer get something like 40% and then I also will have to pay back the couple of weeks I take off sick, my company pays me my sick leave but they get reimbursed from the claim. With soft tissue injuries after everything is all said and done, maybe 1 to 2,000 and that is really not equal to how I feel.

My boyfriend has talked to a lawyer and I think maybe that means we use the same one. Use the one claim number for both. I have to look into that.

Even though I feel like poo, him and I went out and and walked around the village at 9 to check out what's going one. We we're planning on going ice skating but that's a no go now. We left at 10. Missed the torch parade down Blackcomb. Thank god the sun was out today on the drive back. I think it's important to get out and still be part of things or else you get depressed.
