What mobo did you get?

"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."

Well, since you went ahead and got a mobo with OCing capabilities anyway, you might aswell just buy that i5 K. For the Xeon some lower priced non-Z board would have been good enough and would have made more sense imo.

I got a boost of 15-20 fps on Assassin's Creed Unity, Far Cry 4 and Dragon Age going from an I5 3570 to my current 5930K...Very Happy

Yes prices aren't comparable but the difference is there.

Damn you guys. K is tempting cause of its OC, yet xeon is more future proof as I understand. New MB arrives today, so I should pick cpu soon. Price difference is just about 10€ between. Damn you masterrace who you can't give 1 bombproof answer Very Happy

there is no such thing as futureproof in anything
in couple of years there is gonna be something faster than your i5 for the same or even lower price you paid today, in any case you not losing much if you go i5 k model, unless you plan to play ubi games in near future Laughing

One last request from glorious PC masterrace.
Installed AIO watercooling aswell. Would like to clarify few things.

1. As you can see, then the tubes are like twisted. That was basically the only way I was able to fit it all in. Is it ok, or would it make the pump die sooner?
2. Radiator and fan. I was not able to fit radiator and fan as intended (case, rad, fan). Instead I installed it case -> fan -> rad. The fan is still blowing against the rad as it is needed.

In idle the temps seem to be fine atm (4670K@4.4ghz 1,27V, they sit around-below ~30c)

Erm, yes????

I would have done it the exact same way.
Any other way the tubes would have sticked out too much.

EDIT: is that the NZXT X41? Good choice! It's as good as many 240mm AIO WC rads, even if it's only 1x140mm.

Sadly just Kraken X31. Seems pretty good for first AIO solution.
