sweden... i'm disappoint. even in my tiny poor country every apartment has its own washing machine.

Well in my opinion (tho most Swedes will disagree) as someone from Belgium this country feels like most of it got stuck in the 70's/80's. Most likely less so in Stockholm, but most places I've been in the south and the people I talk to feel like this country is much about nostalgia.

That being said as Frant said most older buildings (and that's the majority of the housing around here) still work with laundry rooms. It's not that bad, you book a time and then it's all yours from 7 till 14 or 14 till 21. Just that they went for 1 room for 4 buildings which is way too little.

Don't really got space around here, and in all honesty wouldn't want to invest in it for this place. Smile

In Finland there is laundry rooms aswell, no matter where you live (unless you rent from private person the apartment who has bought washing machine there and it includes to rent). I live in apartment that is made 2012, nearly 800 euros rent, and still no damn washing machine (bought my own, sick of people that doesnt follow the rules and washes their laundry on someone else turn) Laughing

Same goes for the Balcan countries (except maybe Albania, I don't know), having your own washing machine in the apartmant is normal thing since the eighties.

Oh ffs, the moment I game: clicking sound. Fan hits something... and it seems the metal surroundings of the card.

Edit: Seems to have been a wire inside the card that was hanging low and hitting the fan, fixed it so far... let's see if it holds when I turn the case upright again for a few days.
Flaw in design if you ask me, they could have easily put something there to hold that cable in place.

You should come visit my town (~100k pop.) on the west coast, it's been in a building boom since the 90'ies. It's difficult as hell to get a fairly cheap apartment since most available apartments are basically from brand new housing with all the luxuries of a modern home. I could move to a modern apartment but I can't afford a 75% increase in rent just to get a dishwasher, washing machine etc.. That's why I stay in my apartment, it's close to the city center, the houses on my street were built in the 40'ies/50'ies, upgraded etc. but are still basic apartments.. With a rent that is the die for (which is why I've lived in this apartment since 1999 and I don't plan on moving anytime soon).

And the landlord has upgraded all the laundry rooms with high tech stuff and my laundry room have 6 spots/day which is more than enough, always free times either the same day or the day(s) after.

GTX960 is not going to compete with AMD high end GPU, latter one is already delayed so NV will release these new cards for sure soon.

Time to upgrade GPU fellas. I'm currently running a Sapphire HD7770 1gb, on an FX 8320, 8gb ram - can you guys recommend something to put me to shelter for the next 2 years.

I'm not the player that wants to tip everything to the max and don't want to spend a fortune, around 150euros? Could that budget get me a newer gpu than the one i have now?

Thanks!

get more money and wait for a 960 ? nothing really worthit in 150 euro range. from nvidia is 750 series at that price. maybe a sh 770/760 if you get lucky, hunt cg forum. but usually those sh video cards are hardcore used. no idea about amd offer.

It's pretty damned intensive too. If you run at the "competitive" settings (720, etc) then it's okay, I got 25k ("better than 95%") but if you set it to 1080 and 4xMSAA then it really kicks my comps' ass Sad

We have 280x in the same price, if not even a little bit cheaper, over here.

I got 18k at 4xmsaa at 1920 native here, if I put it to smaa it crashes out when giving results but makes it all the way to that. I am sure the 970gtx is assisting my score Very Happy and not bad considering it seems the physx part of the drivers of late seems shoddy workmanship for the 9 series at this time.

Yup, I get around 12.5k with 4xMSAA and 1080 native and that's on a 780. The difference between the 780<>970 must be larger than I thought grinhurt

It should not be I think its only marginal unless its 780 not 780ti? not sure if that makes much difference, also I thought you were running a 5 series card Very Happy grats on a 780 lool.

I dont remember the % gains but they were small, on some cards with nvidia though it was like 8% 12% and 18% but can't for life of me recall what cards that was put against.

Thanks! It's definitely a *hell* of a lot better than even two 570s, the perf-gains across the board are fantastic. I don't know why you're getting 44% more in the bench but egh, oh well. That's my life and I'm used to it Very Happy

Odd, since the difference between the 770 and 780 shouldn't be that high either..
Unless somehow the 780 is 30% faster than the 770 Laughing

holy crap thats the sort of score I would expect with my old amd gpu Razz

but from what I have been reading don't take the benchmark serious as it seems to have a few flaws going on.
