I decided from the start I wasn't going to use fast travel at all. I finally finished it last week, 100%. Thank God for that gyrocopter, I'd say I spent about 80% of the game flying one.

Vampires could be interesting, though I'm leaning more towards the choices between a pasta western setting or post-apocalyptic / mad max.

id rather have vampires... a dark gothic far cry... either in a modern city, a surreal gothic city, or TRANSYLVANIAAA, i dont really care... either way im SO glad theyve decided to try and do something new rather than another fc3 set in australia or some shit... no matter how fun it would be to shoot kangaroos

Peru? Some of the options are just different places but would look like FC3 and 4. I'd personally have something more futuristic!

We don't have even one proper Mad Max style post apocalyptic world game. The key word is Mad Max, which means the vehicular combat is high priority. Yeah F3 and NV are great but they lack any vehicles, let alone vehicular combat.
edit: well, ye, RAGE is the closest thing to this kind of game. Totally forgot about it >.<

Let's wait until the Avalanche Mad Max game, it may be just the right thing.

finally finished....
i must say, the ending actually left me a bit sad, and gave me things to think about...
i might get raked a bit over the coals for this, but PERSONALLY i found that even though the storytelling and the writing were a bit wanting, and the handling wasnt as tight, i found some of the dialog and the morality behind what happened to remind me a bit of spec ops. every step of the way, you make things worse... it doesnt matter who you side with, everyones equally as terrible, and the BEST ending you could get, is to do exactly what pagan said, and just do what you came to do, rather than helping completely destabilise the region, for two parties that each both want to be tyrants in their own way - and ARE.
basically i felt pretty miserable about what id done every step of the way, it was quite powerful if you stopped to think about it what happens during the story... especially thinking you have the moral high ground only to be called out on the shit youve done.... and ultimately, i felt bad for pagan, especially when i saw where his rage came from.... i liked pagan, im not messing around, and i dont mean in a video-game character 'lol he crazy' kinda way... i just found the guy really interesting and a man who wasnt as heartless or unreasonable or evil as he was portrayed.... he was just angry... and felt sad seeing him go.
and for the record, I...
Spoiler: | killed amita because she was pretty evil and i hated how she tried manipulating me - not that they both werent doing that, i just didnt like how she pretended to be this fragile thing to make herself seem like she was weak and needed my help - just resented her dishonesty, so she had to go.
i let pagan live, because i 'got' him by the end, saw where he was coming from, and could hardly call him out on the things he did since his speech was quite eloquent... i became a shit throwing monkey that helped destabilise the country, rather than acting like a civilized human being... let him live, let him leave.
and then i took his 'i give you the country' thing to heart...
so i went and killed sabal. bitch was crazy as fuck any way, with his backwards thinking bullshit, child marriages, god worship nonsense... PLUS i didnt like the way he changed his tune, and started using me as a tool and looking down on me... no respect or appreciation, just 'dance, monkey, dance'... so iced him.
besides...
i didnt like what he was doing to MY NEW EMPIRE. |

Spoiler: |
I followed Sabal's path for the entire main story, he seemed like he had the better ideas compared to Amita though she usually gave a good reason after I've finished doing Sabal's various missions such as with the opium fields first she says something vague about using the drugs to improve the economy and then after I've burned the entire thing down she complains about how it could have been used for medicine too.
Then Sabal does a 180o and goes completely insane (I guess he really wants to bed that god-child or whatever he was so hell bent on doing with that ceremony, crazy fucker.) and starts executing people that do not follow his vision while also threatening Ajay.
I let Amita live when it came to that choice but I found her in a Sherpa camp yesterday where I shot her immediately (Max karma and since you can't lose ranks there's no reason not to take advantage of looting Sherpas and all that.) so now I have to find Sabal somewhere, probably in that temple of his and then the land will be all mine.
As for Pagan Min during the dinner cutscene he got shot when I was idling and waiting for Ajay to put his pistol away and replaying the scene lead to the same thing happening over and over so it ended that way for him.
You can let him live and then shoot his helicopter down to loot his body (He has a really fancy pen that sells for some 70.000 or what it was.) I actually returned (Exploiting various glitches and outright cheating to pass by invisible barriers and helicopter explosion zones when you fly too high.) just to pick that up and pawn it, his body is still lying there with a bullet hole in the head.

Would be nice if I could return to Himalaya and Shangri-La but that will probably come in the Yeti DLC.
