My biggest issue was Bungies attitude towards the game and how they made it "difficult." I also always got the "us vs them" vibe, and rarely felt like they gave two shits about the community. Square (ffxiv) and even Blizzard do far better jobs.
Definitely some good times though. First Atheon kill was epic indeed
And although the gunplay and vibe of the game are still one of the best of the PS4 games atm, i cant be bothered doing the same thing every day in-game.
In the beginning the goal was reaching and finishing the raid and get to lvl 30, and that was fun.
But the new content is not interesting enough to do it all over again, and the re-leveling of all gear and weapons also didn't help the enjoyment.
And i must say the constant thought of playing the game every evening to not miss the daily, public events, nightfall, weekly and raid also felt like working lol. Now that i dont have that urge anymore i see how much time the game consumed lol.
Playing with you guys was/is good times. Never a dull moment while playing VoG.
And perfecting/streamlining the strategy's was awesome.
I will be back when House of wolves comes, but they better should not reset all the fucking guns and gear again.
And don't be afraid to contact me when im online on PS4
great, i m curious what they ll grindify/ fuck up instead.
a few ideas for you bungie:
- once new level cap is reached your exp starts to drain, forcing you to constantly grind in order not to drop down a level
- combine 3 fully upgraded exotics of the same kind for a 10% chance of receiving a stronger version of it, destroying the 3 exotics in the progress
- the new raid is a 5 hours long crucible match, with the winning team completing it at the end
- on hard mode a team has to have a score distance of atleast 20000 to win, that way it could go on forever, like in fucking tennis or a weapon bounty
- special new bounties at the cryptarch, with the reward instead of exp being a completely rng'd piece of equipment.
- new pvp event, "iron fanner", where player levels are completely inverted, making you deal less damage the higher level you are.
heh, after playing this game all i can say it's extremely primitive and whole console MMO aspect is in its infancy, compared to proper MMOs on PC such as WoW or even ARPGs like Diablo or PoE. the only reason i compare this to proper MMOs because other people and reviewers did, in fact, destiny has nothing what makes it MMO, comparisons to ARPGs are more appropriate and even then this game is pathetic compared to something like D3. few more months and no one will remember what he hell destiny is, extremely forgettable game.
i hate mmos, i play destiny because the core gameplay and gunplay are damn good and fun,
but even the best core gameplay gets boring if there isnt enough content, as is the case with destiny.
Used exactly the same method to get tons of lives in Prehistorik 24 years ago. Just left it running with the character at some exact sweet spot with enemies resping and a heavy object on spacebar
Today I didn't even need to use my AK. I gotta say it was a good day. (c) - Ice Cube

I did this on one of the Pokemon games.. You get experience points for each step made when a Pokemon is in the daycare or something, and there's a ramp that when you take a step it pushes back, so I put a heavy object on the d-pad and left it running...

The player base for destiny has dropped quite a bit in the last few weeks, and will keep dropping. We will probably see a spike come house of wolves in about 6 weeks, and then everyone will leave for other games
I have everything but 2 exotics, once I collect those I'm pretty much done with this game. Been way too long since I've played up on my backlog.
Need to beat assassins creed unity, far cry 4, and a ton of other shit I never had a chance to.
Fucking destiny consumed my gaming life

it was the same with me till mid december, then i realized i havent played anything else for 3 months and decided "aint nobody got time for that".
it turned into so much repetition and grind, total content worth of 15 hrs stretched over almost 200 hrs for me.
Whoa! Look at all that pretty armor! What could it all mean?
I know that rampant speculation will burn for a while on this topic. As you enjoy a conversation about the pearls of information that can be lifted from this, please bear a few things in mind...
1. Aside from giving it a name, Bungie has yet to reveal the House of Wolves. That means that anything you know about it can change. We have a team working on the experience in their own fancy room, and they have some exciting surprises up their sleeves.
2. We reserve the right to overwrite anything you're looking at right now. These placeholder items enable us to save room on your drive for actual future updates. You'll all download them before it's time to play.
3. Any stats or assumptions about power or impact or handsomeness are months old, and do not reflect the things that we're doing to adapt to what you've taught us about Destiny. There is a process here, and you're a part of it.
Leaks are fun. I totally get it. Please discuss to your heart's content. All we ask is that you leave your mind open to the evolutions that are inevitable. What you see here are very old ghosts from our pre-launch database. These are not necessarily the wolves you're looking for.
