You do know that people can enjoy Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata AND Nirvana's Smells Like Teen Spirit, right? It doesn't make them brainless, tasteless or anything.
1) Dialogues are OKeish. I dunno what "critics" were blabbing about. And the examples on the previous page- what's so wrong with them, uh? There are shows with much worse dialogues yet praised by these so called critics.
2) Production values are good.
3) There is less nudity than in Spartacus. The scene with a nude woman fighting 3 drunken guards who wanted to rape her didn't seem inappropriate or made just for the sake of nudity although it looked a bit silly when she started fighting (from my perspective, not character's l
4) I don't like the actor who plays Polo. Miscast.
5) The setting seems interesting. Mostly because it hasn't been used much on TV.
6) I can't say anything about the story coz I watched only 2 episodes.It seems OKeish however there is nothing that would keep me awake all night watching episode after episode.
It is left to be seen whether the show will turn into a total shite or get better.
I like it very much i must say. At least as far as i can tell from the first 2 eps. The focus isnt so much on Polo himself but on the whole situation he is in. Polo kinda reminded me of the priest from Vikings, hes in the same situation. Gonna look forward for the next episodes
Also 3 eps in, and is ok. Better than most series currently on air.
It seems mislabeled do, so far the main protagonist is Kublai Kan. Marco Polo´s character is very weak, a teenager in the background of the Mongol court.

Spartacus is miles ahead from what i´v seen of MP
Nice show , acting is not that good at times , decent at best..but atmosphere , setting , costumes , action scenes are awesome..I like the story too. Im more interested in Kublai Kan and Sidao..MP is boring , I don't care at all what happens to him..
