Starbound isnt a bad game by any means. I just think that they announced it /released EA waaayyyy too soon, for a game of this scope.

Just in case anyone wants to read more empty promises. |
the amount of asskissing on that place is really high.no word of critical thought or valid questions ala "are you living in a different dimension?is time passing by differently for you than anyone else?will this game be in beta once i am 60 and my dog dies of old age?"

It's the same like with Star Citizen when they announced towels... fricking cattle derps all going on how awesome it is. And we were the nerds in the 80's/90's... sure...

Reddit is probably the saddest place of the internet. Everyone is connected to some Hivemind and doesn't accept logic or even slight criticism. I am pretty sure Skynet or the Matrix is hiding behind that. If you go there for news it's ok, but never ever try to use common sense and argue with someone from the Hive (except if you want to see offensive and retarded comments of course).
EDIT: Just fucking check this and tell me that place is not full with bots: http://www.reddit.com/r/videos/comments/2prj7d/when_a_male_gymnastic_coach_tries_uneven_bars/

if you havent played the nightlies, you're in for a change. The game is a lot different, and IMO, a LOT better!

Terraria is still more fun than this IMO.

It feels overall more comprehensive than before. I agree with the Terraria part, but it's a major difference, Terraria is more finished and still has one more update (1.3) to hit the already vast content filled game, but essentially, there's no goal except the usual way to grind yourself up.
Starbound on the other side, more technical, has actual quests, building and lighting looks much much prettier as well as the several worlds you can visit and loot.
Safe to say it's easy to get on both and one may like one part more (story driven/goals) than the other (usual grind but overall more content atm)

I dont know, while Terraria is fun, it just look like a shitload of mix matched ideas put together with nothing to really tie them in.
