Dammit. I remember having difficulty with this the last time I played.
When you're in the PD basement and you need to manage Carlas breathing, nothing I press seems to keep the mark in the middle. Neither A D or cursor keys seem to work

2) Push what the onscreen messages tell you to push

Ok,i have another dumb monitor problem with this game...
First launch: Screen goes black, then goes back to Desktop but the game's on.
Tried setting the monitor to 720p, 2nd launch: Choose language,create profile.. But when the main menu's supposed to appear IT WON'T, IT'S BLACK BUT YOU CAN LISTEN TO THE MUSIC
What should i do?, is there any specific resolution i should choose to make these remasters work for once and for all then change in-game settings to go 1080p??

EDIT: nevermind, went to fahrenheit.ini ,changed "Fullscreen=1" to Zero and tadaaa...And the in-game options are set to 1920x1080 to begin with..The bad thing?,WINDOW BORDERS

Yeah, it's fundamentally unchanged as far as I can tell (haven't downloaded it yet). The textures got artificially sharpened with a photoshop-ish-like filter, pretty common procedure for many amateurish mods/texture packs where you don't have high definition sources to begin with, and that's pretty much about it.
They should have called re-release, but remaster is fancier, the trend of the moment   . At least the price isn't high, it's something I guess for those who don't own it already. |

I made a comparison of the original textures vs the remastered ones. I'm going to take their word that this version can be played with the original graphics and won't bother actually installing from the original ISO.
Note: the original graphics appear to have a film grain effect on them. The remastered ones lack that. This gives an "unfair" advantage to the original graphics since the film grain adds "fake" detail.
Note 2: I only compared the graphics of the intro cutscene.

There are some obvious improvements, namely the fonts and UI.
But I will argue the new art direction is weaker, "too clean" (combined with the removal of the film grain..)
There's the odd texture that looks definitively better but for the most part it's hard to appreciate the improvements, sometimes I actually think the new textures lack detail!
I find that the original graphics look *fantastic* even today thanks to their very strong art direction. So what ever is your choice the game will look good no matter what!
If I had the time I would mix and match the textures to keep the best ones from each vesion. There's also an HD mod for the original release that I never tried so I don't know how much it respects the original art direction: http://www.moddb.com/mods/fahrenheit-indigo-prophecy-hd-mod-1080p
tl;dr get this for THE GAME (it's super cheap!), not for THE GRAPHICS REMASTERING

Well it's good they re-released it but this should have been a free upgrade of the original. My original copy got fucked in the ass by Starforce when I moved to 64 bit Windows and then when I bought it on Steam (minus Starforce) I discovered that no modern gamepad really works with the game. Not properly anyway.
I'll just get an iso demo <.< and call it fair.

Looking at they comparisons, there is very little difference from the original version, and hardly worth the title 'remastered'. Subtle changes here and there, but that's it.

Yes, i don't like film grain in games. Pretty dumb (not that i'm calling you dumb, just your opinion on this) of you to not be able to understand how someone possibly might not like it. Same can be said for all similar features and filters. Some love them, and some hate them. It's obviously not always so black and white, but now i feel i'm explaining things as i would to a child.
